The flat near black paint is what you expect it to be, and smells as bad as you expect when you open it. But the metal forming is better than average. The long sides of the open can are much closer to straight than average, which is a win for me as I am planning to use VHB tape to mount equipment inside this can.The gasket seems fine, and the closing force seems reasonable for this size can, without being excessively high like some of them.

Listing says it's new, but the item is not new. The box is clearly old and painted recently. You can feel and smell the fresh paint. You could also see rust in the joints.

It's nice but it's a new paint job on it. Over all it's a metal can that holds stuff. As long as it keeps water out and isn't rusting out how pretty do you really need it. If you want something fancy you need to stop looking up ammo cans and get a purse.

First of I was confused this can isnโt Tall50, this can is Fat50. Please correct me if Iโm wrong. From what I understand PA-70 is the Tall50. This can is the PA-19.The can arrived with very little to no rust to speak of. It was well packed and the shipping was swift. I went ahead and try this because my local military surplus store charge $10 more than this Amazon price.This can has additional room -height wise than the regular 50cal can. Sure can fit more ammo, but it can get too heavy. Itโs more suited for miscellaneous gears/items in my case, itโs used as magazine storage.Will soon to try the next taller, I believe called โTall50โ, for even more room.

Wanted a way to store an off-road jacking system(Safe Jack 6-T jack and 5-T jack stand) in a waterproof container. Everything fit in a 50-cal ammo box except the 8x10" metal base. The extra few inches of height this can provides did the job in the same footprint of a "normal" 50-cal can. The can I received looked brand new. No dents, no scratches and nicely painted. All seams and corners seem to be well sealed. The rubber cover gasket is in excellent shape. I'd buy again.
