I was skeptical about how this would work on my router table. I have a skil router and router table and the router mounts to a plate which then attaches to the router table. I was amazed at how easily it is to install. On my table the center ring that holds the removeable rings sit down in a recess in the table so i had to trim a little bit of the outside of the the velcro ring that attaches to the underside of the center so it would sit down in the recess. Other than that it went right together. I didn't have to cut the cup that attaches to the velcro ring as it shows in the instructions. It suggests if you are having trouble getting it over the collet to cut the end of it. It shows a pair of scissors and a line on the cup and mentions it in the instructions but all you have to do is drop the router all the way down, stick the cup through the opening on the back side of the router and attach to the underside of the center and raise the router back up. I haven't tried it yet with my dust collector as i need to get a few more clamps, gates, and a tee fitting. All in all i think it's well worth the price considering how difficult it is to contain router dust and shavings.

If you have a shop vacuum then this unit will help somehow with dust collection. But after I set it up I noticed that I needed to purchase a collet extension because the bottom catcher (the red part) reduced the height of the router lift. So, please purchase a collet extension as well at the same time you place an order for this unit for safety purposes.Other than that omission, the suctioned was sufficient enough for reducing the amount of saw dust (if paired with enough power vacuum) on your router table and workshop

This is a good device but not great. The velcro method of securing the cup is very strong - but the glue backing to the velcro is terrible so you'll need to use a contact adhesive or similar to get it to stick (I ended up with hot-melt glue as it still refused to stay put). The problem is the weight of the tube and connector invariably pulls the suction cup (suspended under the table) away. There is a stay and a couple of screws included but it still doesn't work It also recommends attaching the velcro to the router table insert, which obviously doesn't work as you change the inserts over and the glue is insufficient...I mounted mine onto the router base in an inverted router table and this is a better solution as it will rarely need to be disturbed. Also the adapters for the tubes didn't fit my table accessories so, yes, it works remarkably well in reducing the amount of dust in the air but you need to re-imagine it when fitting to your particular circumstances (hence only four stars).

Easy to hook up. Works pretty well. May need a stronger vac.

Arrived in sealed amazon bubble wrap with package inside. The product packaging had the 2 round tape "seals" cut open but otherwise intact and in good shape. (No crushing or dammage)The problem is have is the missing panhead screws, 5 of them according to the parts list in the instructions and also missing are 2x velcro mounting rings needed for the vacume attachment for under the table. (Packaging list says there is supposed to be 3 of them.)Other than that the instructions could be a bit more clear with step by step photos, but they are still better instructions than I have gotten from other companies products. (Looking at you CHINA)To sum it up, if this Arrived with all the parts I would have given 4 or even 5 stars.I am still waiting for a reply from Milescraft about getting the missing parts replaced.Depending on how well (and quickly) they respond i will update this review. So far getting ahold of them by phone is just an automated run around with no way to speak with a live person.I sent an email and am waiting for a reply...I received a reply the same day and it turns out they no longer include the panhead screws in the set. Instead I got the older instructions Manual (the newer manual does now show the screws) as for the missing velcro rings ,new ones are being shipped to me no charge. So I have to admit Milescraft deserves a 5 star rating.

I had read all the reviews before I bought this cup device. It’s this or a big box under the router table. I wanted to maximize the storage space under my router table and the idea of a big box didn’t appeal to me. A lot of reviews said they couldn’t attach it or the Velcro didn’t hold or just got frustrated. So I was cautious but took the chance, not that expensive. I have an early Hitachi 21/2 hp router that’s mounted on a 1/2” Plexiglass plate but there was no flat surface for the Velcro ring to stick. There is a couple of lugs with tapped holes for guide rings. I cut a piece of sheet metal into a ring, leaving a couple of tags on the inside to mount on those guide ring lugs thus providing a clean flat ring to stick the Velcro’s ring. The cup fits very tightly but barely touching my router chuck. You need to support the vacuum hose so the cup does not deform from the drag of the hose. Using it in combination with my fence suction, I get very little dust escaping to my table and none on the ground. Being conservative, I’d say it’s 85% efficient. It’s probably better than that but 85% is still better that those boxes. The trick to this device is to create a proper flat area for the Velcro ring to really stick. As you can see in my photos there’s very little room between the cup and my router chuck. Not much can fall through with such tolerances. Because I had to attach that sheet metal ring, there is 1/8” gap between the plexiglass plate and the dust cup. I’ve done edge cuts as well as interior cuts and the dust collection was just great. Using the Router Raizer with the chuck extension, I still can raise the chuck so I can change bits above the table. I’m very happy with my router table now with completed dust collection.

I was getting tired of my router spraying dust all over my garage so i was looking for a economical solution. reviews of this were variable esp for my bosch router table. the bosch insert rings are ribbed plastic. i sanded the ridges with a cheap 2 inch sanding disc attachment for my power drill. the remaining ribs could be chiseled off. i superglued the velcro attachment to the insert for a strong fit. The only critical part in the kit is the silicone cup that fits around the router bit. The milescraft hoses are cheap, inflexible and the t connection reduces flow as people mentioned. I ended buying Rockler hose kit, y connector and with some luck i got a good snug connection to my dust collector. I needed a rockler port adaptor too which i had left over from past projects.I think milescraft should offer option just to buy the silicone cup and skip the cheap hoses and switch to y connector.i havent done a real project with this but router runs without touching silicone cup and there is fence and suction under insert ring. i zip tied some support for hoses to avoid flopping around.if it works well this will be a cheaper solution than building a dust box or upgrading to a much more expensive router table with dust box.Addendum: I did 10 grooves in pine boards for a desk I'm building and I would say the dust reduction is ~ 90% less which is great. With some effort you can come up with a very effective dust collection for your router table.
