I have several Packouts with foam inserts. The foam is cutout with the various tool shapes using a scroll saw. The foam male blank that is cutout is then sliced to the right thickness (using a bandsaw) and used to support the tool to the right height in the foam block. Nesting the tools in the foam provides excellent protection for the tools. It takes several hours to make all the cutouts but end product is well worth it.

I have tried to scale down "stuff" for years and these are great. They are study and the fact they connect to each other is very handy. I get a lot of use for the ones I carry everyday stuff and the work great.
