Installed fairly quickly. Added a ram mount to support the shaft of the motor. Fantastic mount, super easy to remove your expensive motor and store under your your boat cover or inside. I like taking it off if I’m not fishing. Also locks!

Works well as intended. Kind of clumsy though, perhaps it’s just the user. I do appreciate the cover. Seems expensive for what it is, but hard to complain.

Rather than buy a second Terrova, I just bought a second mount to move my 80lb thrust Terrova motor from boat to boat, saving about $3000. Mount a bit pricy because you get more than you need if it's already set up-I really only needed the boat base mount + plastic cover as my motor has the plate mounted on it already. All in all, a great money saving compromise-I can only use 1 boat at a time so why spend big bucks on 2 motors!!

I mounted my 80lb 45in shaft Terrova to this.Pros:This was heavy in a good way. All aluminum, very solid feelingNo movement at all when running the motor on high. Some vibration from the thrust transferred to the boat, but there was no movement on the mount.Removing the motor is quick and easy like you would expect. Just pull the latch, and give the motor a tug.Came with stainless steel hardware and a cover for when your motor is off.Cons:It was never mentioned in the instructions, but I would recommend using locktite on the screews going from the motor to the quick disconnect plate. Only 6 screews hold the motor to the plate... make sure they don't come out.It was expensive. I think it could have been 30$ cheaper and still been expensive, but Johnson Outdoors likes to get you over a barrel.

I have a 2008 Bayliner 185BR open bow family runabout boat. Since I like to fish on occasion, I wanted to add a trolling motor. I ended up removing the port/starboard lights that were mounted in the fore part of the bow and mounting this platform/bracket on that flat spot and replaced the previous dual light setup with two individual lights on either side of this. It works very well for its designed purpose and am happy with the purchase.

Holds motor very good. Removing/installing a bit tricky for heavier motors but acceptable and still faster than with other mounts. Holds motor very strong, very solid. Plastic handle seems to be strong but still I have some concerns about it long term durability as force required to secure motor is very excessive. I highly recommend to use some grease on moving parts it will make first load much easier, I was almost scared to break handle when I installed the motor for very first time, so I contacted support and they assured me that it's OK to use that much force.

Love this bracket! Quick and convenient removal while securing tightly w/o vibration or movement. Padlock-able feature provides security and peace of mind when boat is unattended. Addition of the trolling motor release system allows me to secure my boat's cover tightly while trailering; prior to adding the bracket the tarp blew off and ripped on a 14 hr trip to Ontario... never again. Removal of the trolling motor for winter storage adds to security as well as a more compact bundle to package with the winter tarp cover.

Used this bracket to install a Terrova 55 on my 15' runabout. Easy to install. Holds the trolling motor tight. No movement even on max speed. Like the fact I can add a padlock so no one "quick disconnects" my trolling motor from me. Love the trolling motor also, gave it 5 stars too.

I'm using this product on my 17ft Polar Kraft Fish-n-Ski. I'm using it with a Terrova 80lb/60"/US2/iPilot motor. Installation was easy although I've got some skills and tools.I purchased this product to allow me to remove my motor for security purposes as well as to get it off the boat when we're not using it for fishing. I spent a pile of money on the trolling motor and I did not want to be that guy who finds it's been stolen. I've used it for one season and it's worked great. Easy on, easy off...thanks to the quick release. It also allows a padlock to be used although I choose to remove the motor entirely for security. The aluminum bracket is machined to hold the motor securely. The motor does not wiggle or move once it's locked it. The other thing that's nice is the plastic cover that can be installed when the motor is removed. It covers the sharp edges to save butts and thighs while sitting on the bow when in pleasure craft mode. It also keeps sand/dirt out of the mounting plate when we're on the beach or sand bar.
