Always good to carry a spare shear pin and nut just incase you break one out on the water

I haven’t used them when I have to replace the prop, I’m sure I’ll drop something in the lake so these are my dropped replacements. They appear well made and will fit exactly as advertised.

I replaced shear pins in my Minnkota trolling motor. Replace yearly if use in salt water environment otherwise removing old pin may cause damage to motor. They will shear if corruded and you can lose a prop, as I have…twice.

very satisfied. bought this nut kit for my "old town sportsman 106 mk" 45pound thrust (minn kota) if i'm not mistaken, it's 3/8. the nut goes on quite snug, but not too tight. but that's a good thing. it means that it wont come loose. ps...have a good and safe time on the water guys (and girls)

I always keep a spare shear pin for my trolling motor! Haven't used these yet, but I have them just in case the prop shears the current shear pin off while I am out on the water! The cost of these (~$9.80) seems a little steep, but you've got to have them! I would like to be able to buy just the shear pins......but it doesn't seem like just the pins are available without the nuts and washers too! Still.....2 shear pins, 2 plastic nuts, 2 washers for almost $10 is 2 much!

I'm all about spare parts. I put these in my spare parts kit along with numerous other items. I had the plastic wing nut break/split earlier in the year and it affected a day boating/fishing trip me and my daughter. That same thing won't happen to me again.

Great product and great price, this is hard to find locally and if you do it is at a marine dealer who want a small fortune for it. You should always have a spare with you, sometimes line gets behind the prop and will work into the bearings and eventually ruin your trolling motor. Very easy to remove the prop and remove the line and save a ton of money on having it repaired. Unfortunately also easy to drop or loose the prop nut when doing this, and if you are on the water .... it is a goner and will ruing your day of fishing. Having a spare can really be a plus, or if you hit something in the water with the prop and shear the pin, either way this is the answer to salvaging your fishing trip. By the way if the pin gets bent it can cause the prop to vibrate on high speed, so if you have a vibration in the motor check the shear pin that my be your only problem.
