Meh. In theory this could be an interesting device, but in practice it's pretty juvenile. If you need to replace the mirror/glass of your rearview mirror, you love gadgets, you're on a very tight budget, and you don't mind the car looking silly - then I've got some great news for you! Otherwise, this thing is pretty terrible. It just straps over your existing mirror - so you need to HAVE an existing mirror. Of course, this gives you the (no WiFi) dashcam, so this mirror has to be bigger than your current mirror so the lens can peek out. Once strapped on, you need to run the cables. Lots of cables. At this point, you've invested a lot of time into a project that gives you a silly-looking extra-large mirror that includes an 4" diagonal color screen, with maybe some extra rubber straps or wires sticking out. Congratulations. In the end, I suspect you'll wish you just bought a real dashcam - otherwise every time you check your rearview mirror you're going to feel a hint of regret and embarrassment .

It works but it's cheap. It does everything it says it does but it is cheap. I wouldn't look at this as a professional setup or anything close but if you are willing to put in some effort on a cheaper vehicle then this is for you. I still like it personally.

After getting in a wreck that was 100% not my fault and the person driving off, I was immediately on the hunt for a good dash cam that records - bonus if it came with a rear camera to record with as well. This met all of my wants! I love that I feel safer while I'm driving, especially with my kid in the car, and love all of the extra features this as like crash detection. Its incredibly easy to install and hide the wires. The video quality could be a little better, but I don't have any major complaints. You can't read license plate numbers but otherwise everything else is perfectly clear, even at night.

I was looking to replace the rearview mirror in my son’s car with one that had a dashcam installed. When I ordered this, I didn’t think it was going to be a clip-on style like the sunglasses they give you when you have your eyes dilated at the eye doctor.Looking through the details, I seen two “brackets” but figure they just weren’t showing the actual, typical rearview mirror arm that all cars have. Once I received it, I found it’s a very large mirror that you literally place over your current rearview mirror. OK, weird, but OK. I don’t have a need for a cigarette lighter so I spliced the power wiring, added a fusible link, and added a shared fuse holder. I then inserted a MicroSD card and plugged it into the fuse’s slot. The camera powered on, went through it’s typical process, settings, format card, etc. It works, but it just looks like a joke to me.

This dash cam has just about as many features as most any other dash cam. I read the entire ad and the current reviews, and most everything is spot on but a few things. The ad mentions swiping up and down to change views, as if it has a touch screen, but this one is not a touch screen; it is button press only. It also mentions Wi-Fi in the ad and in the manual, and it mentions downloading the app, but I can't find anything about Wi-Fi on this one. It even mentions syncing the time. There is no way to connect to it through Wi-Fi, nor is it in the settings. So all setting changes must be done on the dashcam itself. Also, with no Wi-Fi, the only way to download the video and pictures is to remove the card or hook it up via USB. To make the reverse camera auto pop up and a few features to work, it will need to be hardwired into your reverse lights. Last, features like parking monitor will need an external power source if the power is cut when you turn your key off. Short of those few things, this one has every other feature you could ask for in a dash cam. For what you do get for the value, I think this one is a great deal if you are just looking for something to monitor the road. If you plan on downloading a lot of the videos, you may want to look into one with Wi-Fi.

There's a fair amount of running wires involved since ya gotta to attach the backup cam, if desired, and run the cables so they aren't dangling in your way while you drive. It takes up a space in the cigarette lighter in your car, so keep that in mind, but the different settings it has are really nice, even if they're a bit tough to figure out initially. The UI isn't too difficult to use, and the fact it takes microSD cards is a nice touch. Resolution is pretty solid, and the fact it just slaps onto the existing rearview mirror is really nice.
