If you're looking for an affordable and durable upgrade for your stock 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke, look no further than this Mishimoto cast end tank replacement intercooler. This intercooler combines the proven durability of cast-aluminum end tanks from our premium unit with a lightweight, efficient, tube-and-fin core. While the tube-and-fin core makes this intercooler a cost-conscious option, we haven't sacrificed performance. The core of this intercooler is 33% thicker than stock to provide improved efficiency for lightly modified trucks. Our hot-side end tank also includes an internal air-diverter to ensure even distribution of airflow across the entire core for optimum heat transfer. Finally, the improved flow reduces stress on the 6.0L turbocharger, leading to a longer lifespan and improved spool. To further bolster durability, this cast end tank replacement 6.0L Powerstroke intercooler is finished in a durable black powder-coat and includes our signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Orderd for my 03 6.0 package came a week late and showed up beating up box damaged and wrapped in tape to hold it together and the fins and tubs dented. Talked directly to mishimoto and was advised to not run the intercooler and exchange it with the seller. Seller only wants to offer 100$ refund and I keep the intercooler that can't be used. This is far from acceptable

As other 7.3 reviewer stated, easy install provided you aren't keeping the stock 7.3 trans cooler. Installed on a 7.3 that had no cooling or EGT issues to begin with. It's clearly a bigger cooler than the OEM 7.3 unit, though EGTs pulling a trailer didn't have any massive improvement that I can present here. I'm sure this intercooler makes a difference, but on a low mileage 7.3 that was just getting an "upgrade" only for "why not"/night in the garage reasoning, there was no huge changes. No negatives either. Good fit, looks great, packaging kept it safe, and it's taken hours of 32psi with no complaints. Check the other 7.3 review for more tips and don't forget to degrease all the contact points of your CAC boots so you don't have to deal with a boot blowing off.

Nice product, it will work... when it arrived packaging was in great shape and I didn't notice the dent in the bottom of this unit until I was in the process of instalation.... it shouldn't affect performance or reliability. It should be noted that it did not have a scratch or rub mark or anything on the area where the dent was. This leads me to believe the unit was damaged in production, finished and shipped out... poor QC mishimoto...

7.3 guys, this 6.0 intercooler works but is not a drop-in unit if you are using a stock 7.3 transmission cooler. You must upgrade w/ either a 6.0 or aftermarket transmission cooler as the 6.0 intercooler is taller and hits the stock 7.3 transmission cooler. That said, if you are looking for a budget intercooler upgrade the Mishimoto 6.0 intercooler w/ cast end tanks is well worth doing. Read on.Looking for more towing power I got greedy and went big turbo big injectors and ended up making a big heat problem. Instead of keeping an eye on my EGT’s and lifting a little or downshifting my EGT’s would flare catching me off guard causing me to slow considerably to get the temps back in line.I gambled on this budget 6.0 intercooler, the cast end tanks make sweeping direction changes to the air for smoother flow rather than the run into the wall and turn 90* approach like the stock and many aftermarket designs do. This 6.0 cooler also has 24% more surface area that the stock 7.3.Bottom line, worth every penny. Instead of pedaling or downshifting to keep EGT’s below 1,300 on long climbs, my truck runs at 1,100ish w/ one downshift on the steepest part. Even my fan clutch cycles more smoothly & my wife says it doesn’t sound like the engine wants to blow up anymore. If this $500 cooler works this good I imagine the $1,300 plus intercoolers must be amazing???Anyway, you’ll need to upgrade the transmission cooler and purchase 7.3 to 6.0 CAC boot kit from Riff Raff or Diesel Power Products to make installation easier plus the 6.0 to 7.3 cooler needs longer hoses anyway. Both were on back order at the time of install so I forced a 3” silicone hose over the 6.0-3.250” cooler outlet, not right but it works for now.Good luck.
