Like many other reviewers mentioned, the PCV Valve is defective and shoots oil out into the intake manifold. I've also tried a replacement cover hoping that the first one was a bad sample, but the replacement one has exactly the same defect. I really wanted to make that cover work, it actually looks good and fits good, unfortunately, with a non functioning PCV Valve, the cover is literally useless.P.S. it was tried on 2010 Non-Turbo N12, with newly rebuilt engine.

2010 Mini Base1) The two holes for exhaust/intake camshaft sensors were both slightly larger in diameter than what's on the original one I took off, as it ended up spitting oil. I did not buy new o-rings but used silicon. this seems to be a design/manufacturing issue2) The gasket set came with the product feels cheap/ much less elastic than the 30 bucks ones I got at auto parts, and that was used for half a year now. I ended up switching them . My old gasket actually fits better on this replacement but the rings around spark plug holes do not. The groves are smaller than the rings and I used some silicon just to be able to put them on properly.No further leaking so far. Hopefully this one lasts.Update 4/12After a few weeks of use:* Stalling when start cold and normal after driving a while. Figured might be the oil filler cap is too small not closing very tight. Used the old one from replaced part and that fits better. The new cap could even tight on the old cover* The square nut for the air filter housing connector came out (as can been seen from picture above). Turned out the OEM one got a much tighter design for holding the nut and this one came loose.

It felt identical to the OEM cover, the gaskets were pre-installed making the install a little easier and after a month of use, it's not leaking and seems to be working great.

Worked perfect. My factory had a mashed gasket on back right side. Can’t even count on factory to do it right.

I installed this in my daughters car as the pcv valve went in hers. The casting was wrong and did not seal around the front right corner. Was puking oil everywhere. Tried several time to line it up tight. Removed it and compared it to the bmw part and the casting and groove where the gasket goes is different. When installed besides puking oil everywhere the car ran awesome. I didn’t throw out my old parts and reinstalled. I removed the pcv valve from the new valve cover and installed it on the old part. Car is running great. Threw out the new piece as it was trash. So up and running because the pcv valve is good quality. Part is trash.

Fixed the problem for about a month before cracking and causing a bad vaccum leak and engine codes don’t waste your time on this part ecs tuneing has an aluminum one for 200 by far a better product wish I wouldn’t have cheaper out from the beginning
