Picture shows 45 types of possible wood. Our box only had 3 types of wood. Black walnut, cherry and hard maple. Was hoping for a bigger selection of wood.

I was very surprised at the fine quality of wood in the box I received. 3 sides milled perfectly - when you put two pieces married together, there is very little visible fault line - will definitely order again when I run out. Some of the knots can be great with the addition of epoxy resin.

This is the 3rd time I've ordered from Woodchuck's Wood and each order has been great! Started getting into woodworking a few months ago, so decided to take a chance on relatively inexpensive hardwoods to practice on, and they've all been so nice I'm almost intimidated to work with them. Maybe I just won the lottery 3 times, but if these shipments are representative of what normally ships out, this is a FANTASTIC value for the money, and they actually arrive on time or early.

I bought this to make working knife handles. I got 5 kinds of wood, only 2 were under 2 inches wide. The rest were 3/4 x2 x16 inches full dimension. The 2 undersize were padauk and I will still get 6 smaller knife scales from them. Very few knots. I am very happy and will order again.
