I put these on my Model Y 19 inch wheels. I definitely had decorated my previous model 3 with rim rash, so I went this route when I got the new car.Easy to snap into place. The foam you stick inside to protect the rims was pretty easy to get in (kinda wish it came pre-installed, but it was no big deal).And….a couple weeks later, i definitely scraped the curb with my front wheel (it’s always that one). So - I am glad the scrapes are on the protector and not the rim!I do wish the set came with 5, like some other brands I’ve seen, so that when the things do their job, and I need to replace one like I do now, I could do so without buying a whole new set of 4. But through the life of a car, having 3-4 extras on hand probably makes sense anyway.

These were easy to install and unfortunately, my husband accidentally found out that they do a great job protecting your rims from rim rash.Installation: this comes with 2 rolls of protective foam adhesive which you put underneath the rim protectors. The foam strips were thin enough that they were easy to manipulate and apply. I used less than 1 roll of the foam. The rim protectors simply snap onto your rims. It takes a bit of finessing to remove if you need to, but it’s not difficult.Appearance: my rims are charcoal so the black plastic covers don’t blend perfectly but that’s okay! While the bare rims would be the most aesthetic, this looks better than torn up rims. There is a slight gap in the rim protectors where the spokes come out, but it’s genuinely not very noticeable unless you are looking up close.Function: I really wasn’t trying to find out so soon if these worked but my husband had other plans. Lucky for us, I installed these rim protectors 2 weeks before he got up close and personal with a curb. The rim underneath looks great and while the damage to the protector is quite obvious, it will be easy to replace and much cheaper than fixing the rim.
