Repairing 25 year old faucets has made me aware that I should be using plumbers grease when installing these so they don't corrode so much you cannot get them apart. These oem cartridges did the trick once I got the stubborn handle off with a rubber strap wrench

Genuine OEM Moen faucet valves always deliver longer lifespans than copy-cat products in my experience. To me, that makes them a much better value for the money.

I have several Moen faucets in my home and a couple were leaking. It took a call to Moen and sending the photos of my faucets to determine the replacement cartridge model. The Moen people were great and told that I could order directly from them or through Amazon. Already having an Amazon account I order through them. These cartridges areMoen products and an exact replacement. They fit and were easy to change out. I recommend using oem products rather than trying to save a buck or two to insure proper fit.

Can't buy these original factory replacement parts locally. Aftermarket (non-brand) parts just don't last long.

I was worried, since my "plumbing" skills are limited, that this would turn out to be a project I regretted. But wow... replacing these cartridges just couldn't have gone any smoother. The hardest part was picking the right size hex wrench to remove the set screws on the faucet handles. After that - easy street! The new ones fit and work perfectly on my first try.
