I found these ‘shoes’ to fit tightly over my sneakers, but I would suggest that you use boots. They are hard to maintain your balance on a slope. Not a problem of the shoes but the operator. They work best on a lawn that is moist but not muddy.

First, this product will work for a size 13 mens shoe size. Larger than size 13 might not work. Tried them out after receiving and the spikes secured well to the shoes. After walking around the back yard the soil was loosened. I liked the steel plates in the sole as they stiffen the sole so all spikes penetrate evenly. Will see how they hold up over time.

The product works But. They need to make a way to use on larger feet. These leave my foot 4" past the front edge.

For me this did not serve the purpose I purchased it for. The boot gets clogged with grass and dirt very easily, so that at every 10' or so I had to stop and pick out the clog. This was exhausting.

For those who don’t have a lawnmower to pull an aerator, these are a great option. These are very solid in construction with several straps to hold them on. The Velcro straps make sure they don’t slip off. They come with a trowel to clear the treads. These were a great choice.

I used these aerators today in my yard. I have a lot of areas of moss and compacted soil. After killing and raking the moss, I marked my sprinkler heads and went at it. I have some tree roots that I tried my best to avoid, but I did graze a few. The devices held up well. No bent spikes and no broken plastic. They did a good job of loosening and aerating the soil so I could seed.

Definitely wear sturdy boots when using these. I wear a size 7 women and these things were way too big and not super easy to adjust. Though, I do like the concept of using them to help aerate the lawn while also simultaneously raking leaves, etc
