This enables users to conveniently plan watering schedules based on their actual needs
  • Multiple Watering Modes: Moistenland hose timer offers three distinct watering modes, namely Automatic Watering, Manual Watering, and Delay Watering, all easily adjustable by rotating the dials. I really liked the features of this unit; it has a big 3.1 inch display and seemed like it would be simple to use. It came with full instructions plus a quick start guide, an inlet strainer, but no batteries. I installed the batteries, and the programming is simple and easy to understand. All looked to be ready to go.That was before hooking it up. The left zone works fine, it manually cycles and works on the timer, but the right zone zone valve refuses to work no matter how many times I manually cycle to get it unstuck per the instructions. Maybe I got a dud, but I'm disappointed. It rates two stars since if it did work it would have been a nice unit.

Our summers are hot and dry, and last year my small cow pasture was a dust bowl. I have a couple of sprinklers set up but going out to turn them on several times a day was a hassle, especially in the baking heat. Not to mention I couldn't run them both at the same time because the water pressure would get too low and they would spit out a useless stream. This timer should solve the problem. I have set it up with two sprinklers and set them to come on at different times so they will have good pressure. I have used a couple of single zone timers like this and this one from Moistenland has a larger and easier to read LCD and the buttons are also larger. It makes it easier for my old eyes to see what I'm doing down at knee level. I will update this review if the timer fails before the end of summer.

At the current price of about $30 the Moistenland dual outlet sprinkler timer seems to be a decent value. I like the fact that it has a brass water inlet. The setup is about the same as other sprinkler timers I have used. And, like other timers I have used, utilizing the manual feature is a bit cumbersome. For my installation I will use one of the outlets for my drip system and will only use the other outlet for manual watering with a garden hose. It would be great if I could just flip a switch and use the hose. But instead, I have to press the Manual button, choose which outlet I want to operate manually, then set the time that I want water to flow from that outlet, then wait a few seconds for the valve to open. The biggest problem involved with the process is that the LCD display for the Left and Right outlets is VERY small and not easy to see outdoors because of glare. I'm sure I will frequently turn on the drip system rather than the hose when attempting this watering method.I hooked up the timer and went through the recommended procedure for testing the valves. Then I turned on the water and used the manual feature to turn on my drip system. All went smoothly. The best part about this system is that the valve will automatically close when the battery level gets very low. On an older timer system that I had the batteries went dead when I was out of town and with that system if the valve was open when the battery died, it stayed open. My drip system turned on and stayed on for DAYS while I was gone. It made for a very high water bill that period. I am relieved to know that won't happen with this system. If you're looking for a water timer, I'd definitely recommend this Moistenland product.

I ordered this because it has two valves/outlets and it should be a great solution for my herb garden and it's varied watering needs. Once I followed their setup instructions, I connected it to the spigot and set a simple program to test it. It came on as programmed and shut off after the selected time. With any of these always-connected, always-pressurized accessories, I worry about the internal seals and longevity but this feels solid and well built. The spigot connect is metal and it feels very firmly part of the housing instead of those that might snap off. I might still try to anchor it so any hose tension isn't tugging on the top of the housing, but I think it will be okay in this case. If anything changes from this initial test and review, I'll update my review, but this unit feels better than others I've purchased at warehouses or chain hardware stores.

I chose this timer for easier garden care. The vendors description is straightforward and accurate.Pros:- dual independent water outlets so you can water different zones (e.g., both a garden and a grass yard)- brass inlet is good quality- overall build quality is very solid and it came packaged nicely with a manual and a useful quick-start guide- interface for basic operation is intuitive and easily programmed: set the clock, pick right or left channel, set the start/end/duration times, set frequency, turn it to automatic, and it just works.- battery indicator on the LCD- has manual on/off and delay to override programCons:- does not work with rechargeable NiMH batteries. I used alkaline cells as recommended in the quick-start guide.- battery compartment lid is press-fit but there is no latch or catch to keep it closed. The lid fits snugly, but a second mechanism to make sure it stays closed would have been nice.I cannot comment on battery life, yet. I’m still seeing how long the batteries last. Overall, this is a decent unit for automating garden watering.Btw, the company name, Moistenland, seemed ironic to me at first. But it is surprisingly well chosen. Their products manage water flow and humidity for a variety of circumstances. This really is their area of expertise.
