This is the 3rd copy of this book I've bought having worn out the two previous. Yes, the terms are a bit different than US terms but these are well translated. Lovely knit and crochet stich patterns plus good info on techniques.

I thought it was written in French but was in English. still it has a lot of knitting sample point.

This book packs a lot of stitches into a fairly small package. There is a wide variety of interesting stitches, clearly illustrated. It is not too heavy to carry with you until you memorize the stitch you want. I had a used copy that I loaned to an acquaintance several years ago - and never saw it again. So I guess we both loved it. I have gone to look for it several times before remembering I did not have it any longer. Glad to have one again. And my "new" used copy is in better condition than my old used copy.

I originally rented this from the library in town and fell in love with it. After returning it, I immediately found it on amazon for purchase. Whether you are a seasoned knitter, or are just starting out this book is for you. Each stitch in the book has a detailed picture along with a description of the stitch and the order of knit, purls or yarn unders/overs to get the desired book. I have several knitting books and this is the oe I refer to the most.

... I bought this to replace my original copy, purchased originally in 1975, which has gone astray. Detailed explanations of stitches and techniques, excellent illustrations, translations of French, British AND American terminologies for both knitting and crochet. I don't know if the Mon Tricot magazine is still in print, but I do know that there are expanded versions of this title. I heartily recommend this book for any level knitter or crocheter.

I gave my copy of this remarkable book to my church's Knit and Sew group when I moved to a retirement home in 2011. I hope I can order another one.
