So far, these scope rings have been really good. Haven't noticed any defects or anything to note that is negative. Screws tighten down good and hold torque. Also, the red dot mount works well and mounts left and right forty five degree and top position. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for good scope, rings, but not wanting to break the bank.

I like Monstrum products. I have a few of their products, mostly rifle mounts. I never had a problem with any of them. They are always modestly priced. I've got a few of those red dot reflex sights manufactured by some unknown companies. They look like well crafted but I am not entirely sure if they fare with regard to a rifle shot stress, at least for some modest caliber cartridges. This pair of the scope rings provides an excellent platform to test both the accuracy of a red dot sight, its ability to keep zero, and show if it can withstand the stress. In particular I liked the ability to put the dot sight at 45 degree so that the top optical scope turret is not in line with the reflex sight. The scope ring works for the lefties as well as for the righties because there are canted dot mounts on both sides of the ring. Now is the time for a filed test of those red dot reflex sight. I will update this review on the results.

I got these specifically to experiment making a sturdy single ring shotgun sight for shorter ranges of 3-15 yards where it would quickly show area of pellet spread. By using M3 screws of varying lengths and colors, and ability to use iridium glow paint on the ends I can make a super sturdy, fast acquisition single ring sight that immediately shows area of strike. Will take some testing, but the possibility of having various length screws and even an inner ring held by screws is fantastic. I wanted a no-batteries, low light, durable FAST sight. This will be it.

This product was provided as part of the Vine reviewer program; please consider this an objective review. Some of the items can be reviewed by a simple one sentence. Sometime I am brutally honest and that it is only my opinion. I have nothing to gain or lose either way. This is my review on the Monstrum Kimera Scope Rings | Includes Detachable Canted Red Dot Base | RMR FootprintThe Monstrum Kimera Scope Rings, particularly the model featuring the detachable canted red dot base with an RMR footprint, offer a compelling solution for shooters looking for a robust and adaptable mounting system.**What I Liked:*** **Versatile Mounting:** The detachable canted red dot base is a real standout feature. It allows you to easily mount a red dot sight alongside your primary optic, creating a versatile setup for various shooting scenarios. The RMR footprint ensures compatibility with a wide range of popular red dot sights.* **Solid Construction:** The scope rings themselves are built using high-quality materials, giving a sense of durability and reliability. They feel robust and capable of handling the recoil of most firearms.* **Easy Installation:** The installation process is relatively straightforward, provided you have basic tools. The included instructions are clear and help guide you through the process without any major hurdles.* **Affordability:** Monstrum products are known for being budget-friendly, and these rings follow suit. They offer exceptional value for the features they provide.**Areas for Improvement:*** **Finish Durability:** While the finish appears to be of decent quality, long-term exposure to the elements and heavy use might potentially lead to wear and tear.* **Limited Adjustment:** The canted base offers a fixed cant angle, which might not be ideal for all users or firearm configurations. Some shooters might prefer a base with adjustable cant for fine-tuning their setup.**Overall Impression:**The Monstrum Kimera Scope Rings represent a solid choice for anyone wanting a reliable and affordable scope mounting solution. The detachable canted red dot base adds a tremendous amount of versatility, allowing you to easily switch between using a magnified optic and a red dot. While there are some minor limitations, such as the fixed cant angle and potential finish durability concerns, these are largely overshadowed by the quality, functionality, and overall value offered by this product.**Who should consider these rings?*** Shooters on a budget seeking a robust and versatile scope mounting solution* Users who want to add a red dot sight to their setup for close-quarters or fast target acquisition* Individuals looking for a reliable mounting system that requires minimal fuss to install**Recommendation:**If you're on a budget and need a highly capable and versatile scope ring set, the Monstrum Kimera Scope Rings with the detachable canted red dot base are worth considering. They offer excellent value for their features and will undoubtedly satisfy a wide range of shooters.

Just received and wanted to warn other customers as there isn't a review yet. The rings themselves are robust and well made. No stripping of the threads. The RMR plate however does not sit flush, at least this sample. The image depicts a lug on the underside of the plate that goes into the groove of the top ring half. Excellent idea, though both lug and groove have different angles. These would have been a nice budget alternative if not for that.

I have a lot of Monstrum and they are usually 5-star. These rings mount an Arken over a 308-class rifle. That aspect has worked out perfectly. I had two issues with the RMR mount. On mine, I had to needle file the engagement nub underside of the plate to get a full fit into the channel. Not a biggie, but I was surprised. My other issue, visible in the ad (but I did not notice), is that if you mount the RMR plate at the 10 or 2 o'clock position you can not get to the clamp fasteners. In order to change or even just move the scope in the rings, you have to 1) Remove the Red Dot, 2) Remove the plate, then 3) loosen the upper clamp.Truth is, I toyed with the idea of 2 o'clock mounting, gave up when I saw the fidgety, mounted 12 o'clock, and have been satisfied with that. But if 10 or 2 were important to me, I would not pick this mount.
