Bought this Moog lower control arm for a 2017 Subaru Forester. Replaced drivers and passenger…lower control arms, sway bar bushings and sway bar end links (make sure you get a four wheel alignment after a project like this).I torqued all bolts to spec with weight on the wheels (make sure you do this or you risk premature failure of the bushings due to pre- loading or twisting).I Immediately had a ball joint clunk from passenger side. Did a bunch of troubleshooting to ensure the ball joint was at fault. Removed and replaced the control arm with identical Moog part, everything now works & sounds fine.

Got it to fix a rattle in a Subaru Forester. The mechanic said the ball joint is bad. I got the whole control arm... When I was changing it, I found out that the front bushing was completely gone. The ball joint was good. If I knew that, I'd get the bushing only. Any ways, Since I have it already, I replaced the whole control arm and no more issue with rattling. Moog is always a name to trust.

I have posted this review for both the driver and passenger side parts (MOOG RK622856 and RK622857). I have a 2014 Forester with 70k miles on it, and when a bushing started to go, I decided to replace both control arms. The drivers side control arm went in easily, the passenger side took a bit more effort to get everything to align, but went in as well. I was initially happy with it, but I kept hearing an occasional, random knock going over speed humps, potholes and other minor bumps. When I took it in for the alignment, I told the mechanics about the noise. After some investigation, they determined that the ball joints had play up and down, and the noise occurred because the ball was loose in the socket. You could actually see the play.I am really disappointed, to say the least. I cannot return the arms for exchange because I need my car every day. I will be keeping the arms in, but replacing the ball joints with OEM from Subaru. I always thought MOOG was a top quality brand, but have heard that their quality has gone downhill recently because they started to outsource a lot of their manufacturing.I hate leaving negative reviews, but I really hate doing repair jobs twice due to faulty replacement parts. I would love to hear back from MOOG in this matter, and ideally get reimbursed for the replacement ball joints, at least; I won't hold my breath...

These were a very cost-effective way to service the front suspension on a 2015 Subaru Forester. The control arm bushings were showing a lot of wear (disappointing at only 46,000 miles!). Since the control arms have to come off to do the bushings, it would only make sense to replace the ball joints while everything is apart. It turns out that the cost of the ball joints and replacement bushings are almost as expensive as this complete control arm. So it was really a no-brainer to just swap out the entire arm with a MOOG product that is superior to the factory unit anyway. A great product and it was less labor to do the job – a definite win-win. MOOG has been my go-to suspension and steering parts choice for over forty years.

Perfect fit. Save yourself the hassle of pressing in bushings. You can’t beat the quality for the price.

I'm an ASE certified master tech. This was on par with the genuine dealer part. Easy bolt on install. '15 forester, fixed "death rattle" under load at highway speeds. Seems like a great price and getting the whole control arm saves you the time of pressing bushings.

My Forester made a rattling noise at high speeds on the highway, so I took it to my mechanic to fix it. He told me to order this part, and he would replace it. I've had it now for about a month, and it has worked flawlessly.. No more noise at high speeds, and you CANNOT beat the price!

2014 Subaru Forester was making a loud noise at 50+mph when turning left. Cornering or changing lanes. This fixed it. Not a hard repair. My undercarriage has a lot of corrosion which made The exchange more difficult. If I have to do it again I will order all parts in that area and replace them together. Reputable mechanic wanted over $1000 to replace
