Filter arrived on time as stated when ordered. It is not an exact factory replacement differences were different wire mesh top appearance, black seal instead of orange seal and there is 3 straps of glue on the bottom side of the paper filter. The filter does fit in the factory air box on our diesel 2022 Ram 4500. Appears to seal well and assume it will work fine. Coming from an automotive background disappointed I spent $49 when we probably could have spent the $27 and got the same replacement.

This is an OEM filter, not an aftermarket. It fit perfectly and didn’t cause any codes to come up like many of the aftermarket filters do.

First, I did not receive what was pictured. Pictured is the newer manufactured filter (orange with no glue strips on the bottom of filter), however what I received was the older manufactured filter (black with three glue strips).The glue strips on the black filter cause air restriction and codes. Mopar had the filter redesigned without glue strips and is trying to sell their old stock. If you receive an orange filter, great, however if you receive the black one, you may receive codes due to air flow restriction. After figuring this all out and bringing it to my dealer’s attention, they sold me an orange one for the same cost I purchase the black one off Amazon for. Will be returning the black filter.

I bought this after a search for an OEM filter. It came and does not match the other original filters I have bought, filter seal is black and the paper is white instead of yellow. I did some research on the Ram forums and it appears this is the replacement new part for the factory filter but the one pictured in the description is not what you will be getting.

I have about 23000 miles on my ram as I am writing this. The filter that came with the vehicle was pretty dirty. I bought the OEM because they engineered it this way to ensure that your filters PPM is effective in filtering out dust and debris that won't harm your engine. I looked at K&N filters and didn't need the "high flow" filter. The OEM is speced out for the engine and I didn't want to put my warranty at risk. Just go with OEM. You will sleep at night knowing you didn't lose an arm and a leg for a K&N filter. Don't follow the mass.
