First time using this. Only one or of 7 trays did not terminate seedlings. Overall, my germination rate was 50% (14/28). Because it was my first, I used regular soil on all but one and then topped them with about a half inch of Succeed. For one, I used Succeed exclusively, which geminated 75% of pods (3/4). I wasn't a fan of the sawdust feel and the need to mix it with hot water. Way too messy thank what I expected. Most importantly, in all my years of see starting, I've never seen weeds in my seed trays. Imagine my excitement at seeing a seedling germinate and then days later, the disappointment in each case, of realizing you were getting grassy weeds. By the way, the seedlings are mostly red bell peppers, hot and super hot peppers: cayenne, habanero, ghost, chocolate ghost, apocalypse scorpion peppers, with some eggplant and tomatoes.

This was super easy to use. You just mix equal parts water to potting mix (I did end up using more potting mix than water). But after only 24 hours, two of my pots grew mold. I’m not sure if I did something wrong because I didn’t see anyone else with this issue. But I followed the instructions on the package. I’ll update again if my seedlings sprout despite the mold.Update: maybe that wasn’t mold that I saw I’m not sure. But you can see in the second photo that me seeds have sprouted greatly! Also this is my first time growing plants so please don’t judge me for the amount of seeds I have thrown into each pot, I will be choosing one plant to transplant into a bigger pot! The potting mix stays moist for a while too, I forget how long I’ve had these plants but I have only watered them twice.

Let me preface this review by saying I'm an advanced gardener and seed starter. I start hundreds of seeds each year and I've been doing it for 15+ years. I used this company's predecessor product, NoDampOff Spaghnum Seed starter, for about that long. NoDampOff performed flawlessly, but sadly, it is no longer available from Mosser Lee and this is Mosser Lee's replacement product. (Mosser Lee also increased the price, which means: new item, less value and performance. What a bummer all around.)I did everything the same this year: same seed starting containers, same method, same type of diluted fertilizer after the seedlings get their first set of true leaves. My seeds germinated in this product, but it caused about 1/2 of my tomato seedlings and pepper seedlings to wilt well after maturity, and this was not damping off...this was just withering after they got about six inches tall. Also, they just looked...sickly and not stocky as they usually did. This was the result across different seed types. The only thing that saved some of them was getting them out of the seed starting soil and into potting soil. But it still put me way behind and it took the ones that lived about 2-3 weeks to rebound. All in all, considering the losses and poor performance, I will not be buying this product again. I returned it. What a shame because the predecessor product really performed flawlessly.
