Used on our 15 year old Outback. I tried several other products prior to using this kit. Other products had OK results at best and didn’t last. The NuLens kit had amazing results. Headlights look like new. Pretty easy to use and only took about 30 minutes to completely restore both headlights.

Worked really well with everything you need. This kit comes with everything you need to make your old plastic headlight casing clear again. Steps 1,2, and 3 are essentially wet sanding (you need a water spray bottle) with different grades of sandpaper . You attach the sandpaper to a provided drill attachment. The final step is applying the polish with the foam pad and wiping clean. My headlights which are from a 2008 returned to almost new clarity. I will update after 6 months (June 2024) to see how it performed over time.

I have tried several lens refurb kits in the past, all with little success.I tried this today and I can say the lights are like new. It was easy to follow the instructions and took about 30 mins per light.

What can I say... pictures are worth more than words. That was on my father's Lincoln Towncar...it has over 600000 kms and you can see what it did to those headlights. I've tried the 3M before but didn't get results like this. I'm a big fan of Mother's products so I'm not surprised that this headlight restoration system worked this well.Just take your time and make sure that each step is done properly before moving on to the lighter grit. It's real easy to use. Make sure to have a drill...DO NOT TRY BY HAND IF YOU WANNA USE SAID HAND lol.PS. The real magic happens when you use the provided polishing compound. So don't freak out when the lights still don't look super sharp and clear by the time you're done the 3000 grit...it'll all clear up nicely using the polish they provide.Another note...the package claims this will have enough product to cover two cars but on my father's we had to use all the provided sandpaper. The polish we had plenty left tho...in fact that polish is plenty for well over 10 applications so I'm not worried about that. The sandpaper in our case deteriorated faster mainly due to the crappy condition the headlights were in. So I'm not faulting Mother's for that. Just something to keep in mind if you have really old and beat up lights.

What’s included:(1) Drill Attachment for attachments below.(2) 800 grit sandpaper disk(2) 1500 grit sanding disks(1) 3000 grit “buffing pad”(1) powerball pad for buffing compound.(1) 8oz bottle of polish.Pros: All the hard labor is meant to be done by the drill with this kit. There is no hand sanding or hand buffing. The drill attachment, buffing pad, and powerball are all well made.Cons: Sandpaper attachments seem to be “single use only”. Trying to keep them wet and unclogged is a bit of a mission in itself. I can see why people have so many bad reviews on this kit. They let the sandpaper clog up and it starts to leave yellow streaks all across the headlight lens. This wasn’t a problem with other kits.I basically needed a second set of hands to keep the lens wet while I sanded with the drill attachment. It was harder to sand the edges of the headlight with power tools.Another issue, is that it doesn’t come with headlight sealant. Instead it comes with a card recommending Nu-Lens headlight film. Without some sort of sealant, the headlights will be yellow within a year. Other kits come with a sealant.Overall a decent kit if you take your time, keep everything wet, and accept the pads are single use only. I’ve used other “better” kits that aren’t single use. They also came with a headlight sealant. Only downside to that one is all the sanding is by hand. Buffing is done with a drill.
