The instructions for installation were good and it was easy to install. The problem my husband ran into was that it wasn’t the easiest to mount somewhere. His project doesn’t really have a designated spot for this tachometer, but if your vehicle/boat/whatever you’re using it for has a designated spot, you may not have those same issues with mounting it.

I wanted this for the size, there seems to be limited selection when buying something this small. Sadly this isn't accurate at all. Like, you can tell the engine is running slower, yet the rpms on the tach are climbing. It's so far off, sometimes by 1000-1500 rpm. I bought about 6 months ago and just finally installed, so I most likely can't return. Don't follow my mistake, do not buy this pile of crap!

This tach is easy to install. It looks good and seems to be accurate compared to my cheap tach tester.It is well worth the price.

I didn't get a chance to install this gauge until today, 13 days too late to return 😑. The only thing that works is the light 🙄. The needle was at 400 rpm when I got it and thought it may reset itself when hooked up. NOPE ! Still at400 and does not respond at all.I've been using tachometers for 40 plus years and know how to hook one up. Mine is "Useless" junk, good for only a paper weight 🤨. I only got it because I needed a 2" and it's appearance closely matches my other gauges. We, I'm out 30 bucks.I Cannot In Good Faith, recommend this tach. Get something else😣. I'd give it a zero, but a 1 is as low as it gets.UPDATED REVIEW 5 STARS ON 10-26-2024Seller reached out to me soon after I posted this review, and offered me a refund or replacement. I chose the replacement option. The replacement tach arrived yesterday and I have already swapped it out. It works as it's intended ☺️. Initially this would be a great fit for my project truck. Fit and finish was great and was very easy to wire up. However, when it came to functionality it was certainly lacking. The gauge would seem to work, however, it would not read appropriately. Even in the proper engine mode, v8 in my case, I could not get the gauge to read any lower than 1700rpm, when I know for a fact my engine was running under 1000rpm. Gauge would increase in rpm, as engine was Rev'd, but reading was obviously not visibly accurate, which defeats the whole intentions of having the gauge, and being able to monitor for transmission shift points. Disappointed the gauge did not work out, even though it was a perfect appearing fit for my needs. At time of this review, this gauge is currently out of stock, with no date of restock (I wonder why??). I will be returning this order.

A little slow to react on a V8 chevy 5.7 tbi but smooth sweep about 150-225 rpm off from true. Over all fine for my use gauge looks good feels solid time will tell if it will last.

Similar to another customer, I bought this for a volvo 240. I could not get this to work NO MATTER WHAT. Checked all of my wiring multiple times and it still didn't work. I ended up getting a replacement only to have the same issue. I completely rewired everything and hooked it up directly to the battery and coil. Still nothing. And the lights aren't dimmable. It may depend on the car, but for me this was an absolute waste of money and several hours.

Works perfect, verified with laser tach. Lots of comments about this model having issue with dial jumping around. Give it a good independent power supply and ground and ensue contacts are clean on coil and it will work fine. If you jump power from something else it may give you issues. (I tried that first and dial was wondering around like other peoples comments)
