I rarely give 5 stars due to the fact that nothing is ever perfect but these Motorcraft IAC valves are the real deal. They are OE parts and were designed for Ford vehicles. Do yourself a favor, if you have truck that needs an IAC valve these are the way to go. Those other off the wall brands will not work as well as these.Motorcraft or Hitachi IAC's are the ONLY ones that will work correctly on Ford Rangers. Yes, these are a little more money but quality is normally a little more expensive.Don't fight with or chase your vehicles idle issues, fix it with a Motorcraft IAC.

My '96 Ranger started to develop this strange howling/fog horn type noise at idle. Seemed to be coming from the intake tube. I thought that was pretty strange, but after figuring out that the noise went away with some throttle, I figured the IAC had to be the cause. This time, the parts Cannon was fired correctly. Fixed my issue. There is no gasket in the box and my truck used a formed rubber piece that luckily was able to be reused.

For Ford Ranger 98 4.0. Worked fine it’s a motorCraft. Not some unknown spin-off name from China

Update: this part lasted about 5 years. Got a nasty vacuum leak error code and a smoke machine showed that the leak was coming from this part. Still better than non-oem though.I first bought another brand from AutoZone before buying this.My truck runs noticeably different now. Ford’s really like to run smoother with OEM parts.

It is OEM what do you expect? Fits like it was made for the engine because it was. Installed on 1999 Ford Ranger 4.0 OHV engine. Solved idle hunting. Do yourself a favor and purchase OEM for some parts, this being one of them. You will be happy when it works perfectly for the next 172,000 miles.

It replaced the OEM part on my 99 4x4 4.0 XLT Ford Ranger. It' works good. Work's as it should. No issues so far. Time will tell. May give an update.
