The EGR valve that I bought for my 2011 Ford escape was defective. I had to buy another one over here at my mechanic put it in now. I have a part I can do nothing with it.

The part doesn’t last long. My check engine light was on less than a month. First time didn’t last. Second time I bought it. My mechanic threw old part away couldn’t get a refund. I had to have it for emission test here in ILLINOIS. $124 I paid 😞

I replaced the EGR on my 2009 Ford Escape with 250 K on it. This increased the mileage about 3 - 5 MPG. It was worth the price and time. The Escape runs much better. You should also consider replacing the Cam Solenoids on the 3.0 V-6... This is much harder... Will update in the winter...
