Installed on a 06 Superduty 6.0. The part itself is super easy to install, the next to impossible part is removing the bolt holding the original sensor in place. True to most auto engineering this sensor is located at a very difficult angle to access, tiny hands and flexibility are a definite asset. Once replaced the CEL/Trouble Code cleared.

I installed this sensor in my 2004 Ford Econoline 350 van with a 6.0 turbo diesel. I used forscan software with obdlink wire connected to my laptop in order to diagnose this. I highly recommend this setup as opposed to going to the dealer. The software shows no cam and crank synchronization and had a pending code for cam sensor. Other code scanners would not show this information. As soon as I put the sensor in truck fires up immediately. This sensor was a lot easier to install then some others led me to believe online. The key to this repair is the proper diagnostic tools. Otherwise you are just putting in parts and guessing.

Purchased for a 2004 F250 with the 6 liter. No codes on the truck, but it would not start, just kept cranking. Had to have it scanned and there was no Sync indicated for the Cam Position Sensor. Purchased this and took about 5 minutes to replace. Truck started right up. Item came in a sealed Motorcraft packaged. Probably won't have to replace for another 15 years.
