Embarrassed to admit that I never changed the fuel filter on my Ford Ranger. Much better price than at the parts store. My truck IMMEDIATELY ran so much better with improved gas mileage after installing this replacement. Getting the hoses off was a bit tricky.

2011 Ford Ranger 2.3L 70k miles had some sluggish acceleration when applying half throttle or more....you could feel the acceleration pickup as you let off the throttle as you came down past around the 50% mark. I tried new plugs & wires, air filter, injector cleaner, MAF cleaned, it all made it a tiny bit better, but the problem still persisted. Finally, this new fuel filter fixed it. It was fuel starvation due to a clogged filter all along! Probably was the original filter.Super easy install, not much gas leaked out, but have a small pan ready anyways. Wear your safety glasses and be prepared for a little fuel spray to come out.

This product was purchased for my vehicle and is not applicable*.Also I ordered only one ‘fuel filter’ and two showed up in separate deliveries.*my vehicle has a fuel filter / strainer in the fuel tank.

I'm writing this review to be informative on your particular make and model. I've installed one of these before on a 2004 expedition, and was super easy, so I ordered one for my "new to me" 2012 expedition limited flex fuel truck. Although Amazon said "this fits your vehicle", there was no where to install it on my truck. Apparently the 5.4L Flex Fuel expedition truck doesn't use a separate inline fuel filter. Mine is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. So yes when you are installing it on the correct make and model, they are easy, great value for the money, reputable brand, but make sure it is specifically for your setup even if Amazon says it fits your vehicle.

It’s a quality OEM part that fit my 2007 Expedition. Good price and easy to find and buy on Amazon. Requires a special tool to remove the “quick connect” fittings. I had one as I have replaced these in the past. If you’ve never changed one before, definitely find and watch some YouTube videos for your vehicle. The connectors can be tricky to remove. Be careful as the clips can be fragile. There are several different types of fittings that operate differently.
