So I have been driving my 2011 F-150 XL model for eight years without cruise control then my son bought a nearly identical truck that also didn't have cruise. He started researching the feasibility of adding cruise to his truck when he came across this switch which after watching some instructional videos was not too difficult to install. He already had the Ford maintenance program on his laptop computer so he he used that to program the truck after switch installation. That is all there was to it, he had functioning cruise control so I bought the same switch for my truck and he installed and programmed it for me. It has worked great and been a really nice addition. Sure wish I had known about this eight years ago when I purchased the truck. (The question is, why didn't Ford install cruise control straight from the factory when the truck computer has the ability to operate it? Seems inexcusable to me.)

Replaced the factory info/setup/reset switch with this one and enabled cruise and speed control using FORScan on my laptop with an adapter I got for around $30. Disconnect battery, pop the airbag out, pry the switch out, and put it back together. Very easy to do. When using FORScan don't forget to "write" after each change you make

Worked great to add cruise control to my base model 2013 F-150 XL using forscan and vblinker (also available on Amazon). Now my foot won't fall asleep on long drives!

I have a 2014 F-150 XL that had a more basic steering wheel bank of buttons that this replaced. This new button bank added the ability to use cruise control on my truck after I installed it and enabled cruise control using Forscan. Wish I would have done it sooner.
