Used this on a 2007 Yamaha FZ1. Don’t think it ever really worked after a month with it on the battery died. Got a new battery and then the new one died shortly after. Next I hooked up a voltage meter and watched as the bike would rev up at about 4K rpm the voltage would shoot up to 16.9 Volts and check engine light would come on. FYI proper charging voltage should be around 14.4V I ordered an OEM used one off Ebay for like $60. Fixed all my problems. Save your money and buy OEM if possible.

Don't waste your time. My stator went out. I changed the regulator as well. A month later I thought my stator went out again. After replacing it, and having issues with my bike resembling a bad wiring harness.... month of my bike down. Finally took it in to a shop to find out the whole time ir was this junk regulator. Messed up part is my org was prob fine. I tossed it out, and has to spend another 170$ on a Rick's motorsports one. I'd highly recommend Rick's. DO NOT BUY THESE CHEAP PARTS. THEY ONLY LAST 30 OR SO DAYS. NOT MY FIRST RODEO. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!!

I had a bad rectifier/regulator and ended up on a forum talking about this specific one being used on older bikes. I saw one similar to this on eBay for $100+ and to replace my original bike's was around $130. I was a bit skeptical, but with some flat electrical connectors and basic wiring this worked extremely well! Very surprised and happy with my purchase.

I love riding and normally take long trips so having my bike working with good parts is very important but this part had me chasing my tail Never worked straight out the box, I had a failed stator figured I would change the regular also this after driving if for 5 minutes had same starting issue when went to check regulator this thing was as hot as fire
