Assembly required. Worked good to seed my field with vetch and grass seed. Feeding rate very good. Get the electric feed gate. It also comes with the manual gate. I thought it came with the receiver hitch, but no that’s extra. Overall, very good product.

This is a nice spreader, but I wish the spinning disk were made of metal instead of flimsy plastic.Assembly is a little bit of a pain; I needed help to mount the motor assembly to the hopper. It has to be bolted together from the inside and my arms aren't long enough to reach all the way in and also around to the outside bottom (imagine trying to touch the bottom of a barrel on both the inside and outside at the same time). An 8" or so long socket extension would probably have helped.You will need a few different size wrenches or sockets to assemble everything, including the rarely used 11/32". A couple of adjustable wrenches will work for most of it, but not inside the barrel.Finally, the provided ratcheting tension strap works great for the included ATV rack mount, but if you're using the optional UTV/truck mount you'll need to find a different way to apply the strap; the one provided has loops instead of hooks to go around the bars of the rack mount. These bars don't exist on the UTV/truck mount. This is very hard to describe but easily understood once you see it. In my case, a standard ratchet strap with hook ends did the trick.

I have several food plots on my farm, that I seed and fertilize every year (3 ac total). I've used a an old manual spreader on the back of my UTV for the past 15 years. It was a two man operation to to try and set the feed gate correctly and ended up wasting lots of seed and fertilizer. This new Moultrie spreader with the remote controlled feed gate is perfect. Now I can spread the correct amounts without wasting material, especially at the end of each strip while turning and stopping. I used it this year without a problem. I love the way you can program the controller to adjust the feed gate to the correct opening. It works on small fine seeds as well as large seeds. It's a wonderful device. Well engineered. My only complaint is the assembly instructions were misleading on some parts. I highly recommend this spreader!

Ordered bc of electronic gate and that is a necessary feature when spreading with a UTV. I was able to turn on and off from the seat so I wasn't wasting seed when I got to the end. Can't believe I haven't invested in this earlier. We'll see how long the electronics last, but I'm definitely a fan.

First time I go to use the spreader after it has been installed and tested the ATV it is attached to dormant for one month and the controller would not operate. The spreader wheel turned in the gate would not open and no power lights. Unit is junk

It spreads grass seed great. Regardless of claims it’s about 20-25ft. I am not sure it will spread lime pellets because it does not have an agitator.

It was quickly and easily assembled. I mounted on my UTV and it did exactly what I needed. Good price and durable. I see using it for many years.

Great product more of the parts came assembled. Terrible instructions that leave you frustrated. Mine is still in 100 parts in the box.

Love the idea of being able to spread fert from seat in my Gator. First use, nothing worked. I had to fix lose wiring. Second use, worked just fine. Third use, gate opened but motor that drives the spinning wheel failed. Can't get it to work. One worry free use out of three attempts is not worth it. Didn't even get a season out of it. Should have heeded the warnings. Total waste of money and effort. Do not buy this Moultrie unit.
