This solar array is in mostly broken shade. Late in the day (in March) it gets full sun for about an hour. Installed only a month so far, it is keeping my Moultrie Edge 2 Pro Cellular Trail Camera with 3100mAh Moultrie Power Mag Battery pack charged to 97 - 100% each time I check it. So far very happy with this.

What it is: Beige 10W 12v solar panel with built-in 3350mAh lithium battery pack. Features 1/4-20 threaded mount for brackets, nylon strap and mount to attach panel to tree or post, charge capacity indicator LEDs, instructions, proprietary usb c charge cable with barrel connector and barrel adapter. Specs are listed in 6th pic.Why I like it: I have a WiFi PTZ camera with a built in battery and solar panel. I replaced that panel with this unit as it also has a built in battery. This will allow the camera to run for several days in the winter with limited sun. The built in 1/4-20 threaded mount worked great with my mounting arm, and I had a spare usb-c to micro usb cable to connect the solar panel to the camera. I only wish it included extra weatherproof cables and adapters to use with more devices. This panel charges quickly and keeps my camera charged, and power levels remain very good. I’ll be curious to see how the battery pack holds up during the winter when efficiency and sunlight levels are lower. This would also work great if connected to 12v LEDs in a shed for lights. Overall, an excellent emergency charging pack/solar panel or upgrade for charging your trail cam.

This solar panel has some pretty impressive power suppling and or distributing capabilities and it doesnt have to have direct sun light altho that does speed things up considerably, even an over cast grey day you'll still bank power pretty fast, its all about the u.v rays, Im pretty sure that solar power is the way everythings headed and this little unit is a good example as to why.

This Moultrie 10 watt solar panel is built for serious outdoor use and is compatible with Edge series cameras and many USB-C devices. It may not be compatible with some non-Edge trail cameras. It works well, but the charging information provided here and in the instruction manual is inconsistent and wildly over-stated.I ordered this panel and battery in hopes it would power up my two non-Edge trail cameras. The provided cable seems to fit both cameras but fails to power them. It may be I need a different cable, but I can't comment on the panel's use with cameras because of that. The panel works fine when powering up USB-C devices. I have used it to charge my phone and a variety of USB gadgets as well as using it to charge up a large litium storage battery. It works great for that. You will need a USB-C to USB-C cable which is not included with the panel. The panel is quite rugged and looks pretty weather-proof. I expect it will survive well in the wild.Unfortunately, the information on the panel's power capabilities is extremely inaccurate. This page indicates the panel will "recharge fully with just 25 minutes of full sun." That statement disagrees with the instruction manual's specification of four hours of sun exposure for a full charge. Both of those statements are wrong. It took close to 8 hours of typical sun exposure to fully charge the battery the first time. It required something less on subsequent charges, but the claims for faster charging are deceiving at best. According to the specs listed in the manual, the panel outputs a maximum 12 volts and 1.5 amps to the 3,350 mAh battery. A bit of Ohm's Law math suggests that under perfect operating conditions the panel will need close to three hours for a full charge.I knocked off one star for that deceptive advertising, but other than that this is a really nice panel that will get a lot of use in a variety of applications.

The panel is awesome and made very well! I was able to start charging it quickly in the afternoon sun. It comes with a cable to connect it to a Moultrie trail cam which it connected flawlessly to. I was also able to hook my iPhone directly to the panel and just off the sun, it was able to charge it up 2-3% per minute. This thing is awesome and seems to be able to be used for other electronics as well. I’m so glad I got this and look forward to it completing part of my security preps for the homestead.
