I like to use this stud to replace stock on Ford heads. Good insurance when installing heavier valve springs.

Never understood why GM used the press in studs. What a pain the butt!! The screw in instructions were simple and they were easy to install but, there`s no good way to tighten them except for using a pair of vise grips and a lot of locktight!! And, if you`re not careful you may gall the smooth part of the stud where the rocker arm is and that could lead to trouble. The small round collar on the stud should be hex or square and that would make this part absolutely the best for installing on an engine still in the vehicle. Otherwise it`s a good product!!
