The MRP AMg SL chainguide eliminates dropped chains and bent chainrings. It combines a lightweight upper guide and a durable bashguard, mated to an aluminum backplate. I purchased this bash guard/chain guide for my Trek Top Fuel 9.3 and I love it. My particular bike model doesn’t have all three mounting points, but it has two (mainly for a chain guard only), but this kit worked anyway. I was able to install it without removing the crank which was nice. The adjustability of the chain guard height and side-to-side spacing worked well. I had to purchase and add a third washer and purchase longer Allen-head screws since I added the additional washer. The purpose was to pull the bash guard away from the frame by another 1mm to ensure it didn’t scrape the side of my swing arm. Overall build quality is top-notch. The CNC-machined uniform part is awesome. The replaceable “skid plate” is a great feature to have so you don’t have to replace the entire unit if you need to replace it. I’m quite impressed by this device and I’m glad I purchased and installed it.
