Arrived with a piece that came off. Fixed with glue gone, good as new. Not at all disappointed with this slicer. Needed it, and glad i purchased it! I like the slice thickness. Not to thick, not too thin. Just right!Overall happy with it.

The loaf cutter allows for your bread to be cut, even without mashing it down. It’s a very nice low cutter. I purchased another one which was not as good as this one because this one is made of wood, and the other one was made of cheap white plastic. I would surely purchase it again; if needed. I would also purchase to give as a gift.

I bake my own bread etc. and this serves me just fine. The slices are a little bit to wide so I gently slide the bread back as I slice. Works just fine.

This is very helpful in slicing homemade bread. However, the wooden bottom needs to be harder. A plastic bottom would be better. When slicing the bread the bread knife has a tendency to leave scratches on the soft bottom.

I bought this for the bread maker in my family. He has used it a couple of times and says it’s great for evenly slicing homemade bread. He said some breads may bake taller than the guide and that could pose a challenge and also make sure your bread knife is wider than the guide. Clean with a damp cloth, no dishwasher or immersion in water. Overall, much better and consistent than just using a cutting board.

The device makes cutting bread uniformly easy, and I likethe thickness of the slices. However, it came disassembled with all four pieces of the base just strips of plain wood, with no way to attach them. I was able to put it together by inserting brads in each of the four corners. The wood is very soft and it appears it will not hold up for very long. Nice design idea poorly carried out.in each of the four corners

The base is so wide the knife does not fit like in the picture, it's short. Makes cutting homemade bread a mess and not even...the whole purpose of buying this

I’m still not sure of this bread slicing guide. It’s a little too wide for my bread knife and so doesn’t really cut through like I would like it to. It’s a real plain Jane wood. I did apply vegetable oil to it for protection. I am using it at present for Sourdough Cinnamon Raisin Bread and it fits between the slats with no problem. Would have been better if it were slightly narrower. Also I would have liked it if it would collapse for easier storage. This one does not.

I'm very happy with this board. I cut a lot of bread by hand now as I've taken to making all our bread now with my bread machine. Nothing worse than making a sandwich where one slice of bread is markedly thicker than the other. This cutting board of course prevents that and allows you to slice pretty uniform slices. The slices are thin which I personally like. And it would be hard to slice the bread that thin without this board. But of course if you want thicker slices you could just cut at every second slot instead of at each one.It lets you slice bread evenly and each slice is pretty uniform,I also love how easy it is to clean. The bottom grid catches the crumbs and the piece comes out so you can easily just shake them out. The clear panel that the bread presses on when cutting is is easily removed so you can wash it.And well it just looks attractive on my shelf when stored away. Very happy with mine.

I absolutely love this bread slicer. It’s sturdy, easy to assemble with four small screws, and so easy to clean. I love that it catches all of the crumbs and there’s no mess all over the counter. The guides are the perfect with each slice perfectly uniform. I was concerned that I could not adjust them but realized if I wanted a thicker piece of bread I could simply skip one guide. Worked out great. The best part was that the knife slides easily and the bread comes out perfect! Not all squished… Even warm bread sliced nicely.
