The product itself works great, and looks and feels high-quality. The company really blew it, though, with the packaging. The box has these words in large letters on the top "High Magnification magnifying glass gift". It would be a MUCH better gift if there were no lettering on the box at all!

A real glass magnifier that should not get scratched unless you mishandle it. It is sturdy. and the glass head is screwed on so it is removable from the wood handle, if needed. It is heavy in the hand, but that is good for me. It is double paned glass an weighs approximately 8.1 ounces or.22 kilograms. Enlarges letters etc up to three times, by my estimation, maybe a little more. Good product so far. I don't foresee any issues unless it I am careless with it. It comes in a nice box with a with a padded backing that the glass can rest in when not in use.
