when you purchase this product make sure you purchase proper sized hose clamps with screw in tightness. Other than that this was perfect and was something almost all shops i contacted didn't have! saved me hundreds for me not to have a shop repair this. This contains the lower AND the upper breather all shops i contacted only had the lower! bought this for the upper only but well worth it.

Our daughter's used VW Cabrio had a check engine light on. Reading the OBD codes indicated an issue with the emissions system. Looking under the hood I found that this part had cracked in two places (along with a small crack in another vacuum line). I ordered this part, installed it, and drove about 10 minutes after which the light cleared itself.No new clamps came with this, but I had the existing ones so that wasn't an issue for this application. The overall shape was the same as the original, but the materials felt a bit different. However, it worked just fine and I'd like to think the replacement is probably made from something that will hold up even better!

It took quite a bit of wrangling to get this installed, and there is some tension/flex on the part with both ends connected. It's not exactly the same shape as the original.
