This is exactly what I wanted, it’s flat so it fits perfectly in my pistol case. Seems like it would be ready to carry in a pocket as well.

I ordered two of these pocket ammo cases. One is perfect; the cartridges snap into the slots, are held securely, and closes as expected. The other one does not fit as well. The cartridges do not snap into the slot so they are not held securely which makes it difficult to get all the cartridges to line-up properly so that the case closes easily. The case does close with a little effort.Since this is molded plastic, I am not sure how to repair this to work properly...

These are great for specialty ammo. I have several and keep them in my range bag to hold self-defense ammo during range trips. The construction and quality is very good.

I do guarantee this product they purchase from China less than $1, very poor quality.

This doesn't come with loading instructions - it should. I misloaded it twice.First, rounds point (bullet tip) towards the latch. Yes, it is possible to point them the wrong way, as I did at first, but the minute you try to close the lid you will realize your mistake. Also, looking at the picture here and on the mfg. website shows the correct orientation. I didn't bother checking first since I figured "fit" would be intuitive. It was, sort of, but let me go on.Next, do NOT slide the base of the cartridge flat against the rear plastic panel for each slot before pressing the cartridge down between the rails. There are very tiny raised "nubs" on the sides of each rail, and these nubs are designed to fit into the indentation at the base of each centerfire cartridge. If you line the nubs up with the cartridge indentation, removal isn't too difficult by pushing the bullet tip down (but still not something to try when your hands are numbing out from cold, or with gloves, or if you are in a hurry). If, however, you put the cartridge base flush against the back wall before pressing the cartridge down into the slot to be gripped by the side rails, it will be really slow and difficult to pull the cartridge out later. Also, I think it is safer to line the extraction ring up with the slot nubs because this positions the primer away from the back wall of the slot. Should some grit get in your cartridge wallet, there is still safe room rather than forcefully jamming the grit between the rear panel of the slot and the primer. It takes just a few moments to load the wallet correctly once you figure out how to do it, and one loaded each cartridge is held nicely suspended in its slot with no side wall, no front or back, and no top or bottom contact with the case - the cartridge is stably and securely positioned solely by the nubs that fit in the cartridge extraction indentation. In terms of low profile, this wallet simply blows away a factory cartridge box, in which you have a thick plastic or styrofoam base with cartridges tip down, perfectly vertical. Not bad for bringing your target ammunition home or to a range, but poor for travel. The top and bottom of this case do not flex, and nothing in a typical gear bag is going to crush in either side - and in any case, there is clearance on all four sides of each cartridge. The latch is very secure, but easy to disengage. A brilliant, minimalist design with no weak points. This is NOT, of course, a waterproof, gasketed case. If you are worried about water or, worse, solvent penetration (the WD-40 cap comes off and jostles and jets solvent in your gear case or bag), then use some electrical or other tape around the edge of the case, or drop it in a Ziploc style bag. Keep in mind that some cartridges are designed for tougher environmental conditions than others, with bullet and primer seals. All in all, one of the finest ammo accessories I have seen, and reasonably priced for the quality. NOT recommended for range use, simply because getting ammo out is still a tedious affair compared to just pulling it out of a factory box. But imperative for safe and secure ammunition transport when on the road. Even at home, in your "go" bag.I guess you could compared this to a "man's wallet" given how fat some billfolds are. But I don't think hip pocket carry would be a good thing to do routinely, due to the risk of flex when sitting down. Jacket pocket, suit pocket, or front pocket carry are very feasible, however.Highly recommended, esp. compared to the old style vertical carry plastic cases which weren't much better than the boxes the ammo came in.
