These cases hold my ammunition with room to spare. The height of the grid makes it easy to remove the case or loaded round.Highly recommended

I like MTM boxes because thwy are durable. I got these for my 7mm remington mag because they said tgey were the smallest compatible size to store them with headstamp down. Because i mostly load soft point this seemed ideal. The .223 are sized very well, though a bit taller than is ideal for sammi max COL. These are just as durable, but they're huge! They must be sized with .338 Lapua or something, cause my 7mm are pretty floppy inside and have nearly enough room to flop out of their slots if tipped.

The box has a thick solid feel to it. Hinge feels solid , stout and smooth. The clear green top allows a quick check of whats in it, empties or loaded. This Large Magnum Pn# R-50 series box is perfect for 300Wby Mag BULLET UP. There is no option with this for bullet down placement. With the 300Wby Mag OAL length, there is between 1/4" and 3/8" between tip of bullet and cover top allowing them to rattle and if turned from upright, slide up to top cover. This can be fixed with some self adhesive pipe/tubing insulation neoprine tape from a local airconditioning supply shop. Stick to inside of top and it cushions the bullet tips. Or get some closed cell foam from assorted places, cut to inside lid dimension and press in to self retain. This foam can be removed or unstacked for longer cartriges or stacked for shorter cartriges like 300Wm. Two thumbs up as always with MTM!!! Stored in a 50cal steel box I use the foam to keep rounds in place when I put the case on its end. I have some Frankfurt Arsenall boxes also but they feel flimsy/thinner and are more square box shaped. I have also used packing peanuts pushed into the bottom of the cartridge holes 1, to space shorter cartriges up for bullet up use and 2, to allow bullet down use! Put peanut in, press round, bullet down into it to form perfect bullet cradle. Adjust size if peanut to get length right. There's always another way to skin a cat lol. It is just a box made to fit many cartridge sizes so won't be perfect fit, if they made ammo specific sizes there'd be 200 different boxes and price would quadruple.
