The can itself is great. The color is perfect to match with my purple range bag! I used this with the foam mag inserts and now have the perfect range set up!

Another viewer gave it a positive review for using as a seed storage box. I purchased based on that. But I found the box not quite good enough for my liking. It's water resistant, not water proof.I want it airtight to keep all moisture out. For my test, I filled it with water, closed it up and flipped it over to see if the water would leak out the seal. It held the water in reasonably well - just a small drop leaking out one corner. But as soon as you press on the side a bit, out comes the water. I mean it's pretty good for a basic storage that you just want water resistant for sure. It's very light and the latches work well. But you can clearly see (when looking at it from the side latched closed), that the plastic lid does warp up a bit in the center. The latches and hinge side are pulled down tight, but the plastic is not quite strong enough to keep the straight edge across the entire length.So for someone who wants this reliably air/water tight, you'll want something else. I ordered another steel 50 cal box from Allen at twice the cost, but the seal on that is WAY better. As a matter of fact, when I opened it when I first got it, it let out air as I opened it (like a can of pop). So it's what I will use for seeds. A couple of Silica packages and my seeds should stay good now for many years.I did however keep this product (the purple box) for storing a bunch of backup CD's that I had laying around. It's good enough for that.

I just love my purple ammo storage container. Perfect size and easy to carry. My 380 S&W and bullets all fit in it! The plus is it doesn't look like an ammo container and I love that!

I’m actually using this to store some of my very active daughter’s smaller toys. I was looking for something she couldn’t break, with a decent amount of storage space, and the purple color was pretty cute. She is 4 years old, and she’s able to open the plastic patches herself easily, which was the one thing I wasn’t sure about when I placed my order. Also, the sticker on the front that says “ammo can” does peel off easily if you’re using this for something non-ammo-related like we are haha. These things are indestructible, which is exactly what we need. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner - will probably order more for her other toys as this will last forever and not need to be replaced all the time like other storage containers. Would also work great for storing other items such as hand tools, craft supplies, or anything else with a lot of little bits and pieces.

LOVE this! When I go out shooting, I always go with my husband and his friends. We all have the same ammo cans so I always have to double check and make sure I'm not using someone else's ammo. ALSO I have an awesome speed loader that seems to go missing every time we go shooting because no one else brings one... Now I have this amazing purple ammo can and there is no confusion as to what belongs to me! I bought a purple speed loader too and I can always find it!The can is well built, plastic, and pretty large. I put my 9mm rounds into it. I can fit about 1000 rounds into it (still in the boxes, not just dumped in), my ear plugs, and a few magazines with no problem (although it's heavy). It also has two spots to put locks, one on each side of the latches. I've used it for about a year now and it is still holding up great.

I use this for storage and love it. It's smell-proof, but I have yet to test its water resistance. It closes tightly and easily with the secure front snaps, and you can even use a lock on it if you need to. It's constructed well, is very sturdy, and it is well worth the price. The purple color is bright and beautiful. My only complaint is that the first one came with some gashes in the plastic that could scratch you if you picked it up the wrong way. I exchanged it for another one, and although the process was simple, the second one also arrived a bit scuffed up. Both seemed like they had previously been used, as the second one was even missing the sticker, but I didn't feel like doing another exchange because the replacement only had very minor damage. Before I sent the original one back, I did test it to see how well they stacked—no problems there. Overall, it's a good case that's worth the price, and if you will be running it through the wringer, I'm sure the scratches and scuffs wouldn't bother you at all.

Absolutely love this purple ammo can! I actually bought it for a different purpose because I couldn't find anything out there to fit my needs better than this. I bought it to store packets of vegetable seeds and I'm very pleased to say it's PERFECT. It keeps moisture and light out and the size is perfect to hold large packets of seeds straight up and down kinda like a filing cabinet. Most larger seed packets are 4x6 inches and they fit in this great. I bought index cards to alphabetize them. Plenty big enough to hold many packs of seeds but not too big for carrying easily. Handle is very sturdy and although the plastic is thick it's nice and lightweight. Nice seal around the lid to keep out moisture too. Wasn't real thrilled about the stickers but they peeled off easily with no residue. Good value and plan to buy more in the future. Manufacturer should consider marketing these for this purpose because there doesn't seem to be much or anything out there with these qualities and I'm sure many gardeners would love this idea!
