These are good cases for any .308 size cartridge. I use them for 6.5 Creedmoor and they work great to protect the cartridges from damage and moisture.

Fits 6.5 Creedmoor with very little "rattle".Perfect for bullet length.Only downside is lid slips off pretty easily and will need an elastic band to hold closed.3 of these boxes fit in the same space as 2 factory boxes, but hold 3 boxes worth of bullets.

I bought these for 6.5Grendel since there are none I could find that were specially made for it. They have some space left that will allow the rounds to move around a lot, but, they were easy to modify to make them a perfect fit for Grendel ammo.

So the reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with the fact that AA batteries don't fit. But that needed to be said since another reviewer, or maybe it was an answer to a question, said that it would. I have other things that DO fit so, again, just to be clear, my 3 star rating has nothing to do with batteries. UPGRADED to 5 stars, see reason below.The actual quality of construction is good. But I guess the flip-top may be better for me. One has to completely remove the cover to get to anything inside.I guess that it's tight is a good thing. Presumably keeps air out and reduces oxidation.Needed to edit review. I had difficulty getting the lid back on and gave it 3 stars bc of that. As often the case (pun unintended) I was overthinking it. It goes on easily when pulling out just a little from the middle / center... Figure it out. I did. So it's a 5-star product after all.'nuff said.
