  • It prevents 'soggy arse syndrome' i.e. your derrière getting soaked from the mud and rainwater thrown from your back wheel
  • It is fitted as close as possible to said back face for optimum 'muck' catching
  • it's possibly the lightest rear mudguard available at just 19g
  • No need for separate fasteners, so it's easy to fit and take off
  • It's compatible with all standard double rail saddles, so long as they don't have any daft bits hanging off the rear

The Butt Fender joins the already established Bender Fender range and in doing so uses the same technology and materials, reaping many of the known benefits. It attaches to the saddle rails, with no need for additional fasteners, and hangs over the back wheel, protecting the rider against 'soggy arse syndrome'. Soggy Arse Syndrome: Inch the effect caused by the rear wheel throwing mud and rainwater to your lower back region, which then soaks through to your derrière, leading to a very uncomfortable chafing feeling, especially on those longer rides Inch. Shudder So if you're prone to this problem and are looking for a light weight, minimalist solution, weighing in at just 19g; look no further.

Easy install though instructions were lacking. Found a youtube video on installation and yes, super easy.

Fit great and work great, doesn't keep you completely clean and dry but these do catch a lot and certainly do help. I love them for the size and light weight

I didn't have any of the problems listed in other reviews. It's easy to install, it has stayed in place, and I haven't broken it getting on and off the bike or when I drop my seatpost. However, I have a fatbike. So ... it works, but it's useless. It's covered in muck and mud after a ride, but so is my backside ... helmet, shoulders, back and butt.I would imagine it would be a better fit for a road bike or gravel bike.

I had high hopes but well… I can officially said that it is useless on a bike with a dropper post. Not entirely sure where it falls short since I dont have eyes in the back of my head, but at all post heights, I get sprayed. Also should mention that this is on a 29in wheel so maybe thats the reason???

I'm replacing one I lost on the trail. Positives: it works, is lightweight, cheap, carries effortlessly in a camelback and installs very easily whenever you need it. Negatives: it's too light and floppy, goes up and down with dropper post so that while descending with seat fully lowered it would flop down and get sucked into the tire treads. Didn't break or detach, but sounded alarmingly like when we used to put baseball cards in our spokes and pretend to be riding motorcycles (ca. 1962). If that's the effect you're looking for, you've come to the right place.I was meaning to stiffen it up with a bit of wire when it got sucked into the tire, detached, and vanished on a night ride. I've tried rear fenders which clamp to the seat post, and no matter how I fuss with them they're always getting knocked out of whack, requiring tightening, adjusting, and a lot of cussing and arm-waving. This one's been the best solution I've found so far (as well as the cheapest and lightest). YMMV.

pretty easy solution, good fit, easy on off, for the payoff of not having a soaking wet dirty butt.

Easy install, easy to remove. Appears to be bulletproof. Planning on buying another full Nutz kit for my other bike

My first experience with this product: I threw on some light colored clothes and went for a quick 13-mile ride on my commuter bike right after a monsoon storm. Speeds averaged 15-20mph, and I deliberately slammed through mud and puddles in the bike lane as often as I could. When I got home, my shorts were pretty much pristine, and I had just a few little spots on my back. Very impressed. I'll definitely be buying more and telling my friends.
