These erasers don’t leave smears like regular erasers. Worth the price and good value for the money. Love Japanese products.I love how they put quality first. Wish we could order all products from Japan like we did in the seventies.

I think this is the best eraser I have come across so far. It does not get "dirty" or leave dirty marks on paper, and it erases very well the pencil/carbon. I did not try it for a variety of pencils, but for the regular ones, it seems to be great. It is also small, so easy to put it in your purse.

Lovely eraser. Does the job expertly (2H to 6B … erases effortlessly) without excessively damaging the paper. Makes copious amounts of black particulate dust, please keep a soft brush handy.

It definitely erases better than those pink erasers or the ones at the end of pencils, but it still isn’t as good as the ones that I have from Japan.

From my experiences with 2B lead on Five-Star paper, I would say this MUJI is equal to Pentel Hi-polymer and better than Staedtler Mars plastic.Compared to Pentel Hi-polymer, these wear away faster, but the advantage with these is that it takes less force to erase something (the MUJI may take around 2 swipes, whereas the Hi-polymer may take 3 swipes). At the end, both the Hi-polymer and this MUJI erase almost the same amount (the Hi-polyer might erase a little more clearly, whereas the MUJI still leaves behind very faint lines). An additional advantage of the MUJI over the Hi-polymer and Mars plastic is that this MUJI doesn't develop a hardened/slick surface over time, the surface of the MUJI always has a very "soft" roughness (from what looks to be tiny, shiny, particulates in the material). The result is that this MUJI never streaks.The eraser shavings left behind by this MUJI is less than the Hi-polyer and Mars plastic, very minimal shavings (maybe 3 long single strands depending on how much you are erasing).

Black Gold. I am reviewing algebra and geometry and I make lots of mistakesThis eraser makes it a pleasure to erase. "Oh, good. I made a mistake. I getto use my Muji Black Eraser." It will wear down faster than my other fancy whiteerasers. That's because it is doing what it is supposed to do. Does not smudge.I have used my new eraser a lot over the past week. Does not leave grit on yourpaper either. I bought the five pack. I just ordered another five pack in casethey quit making it. I have purchased other Muji products and like them all.Great stocking stuffers for Christmas. I have used what I thought was the bestof the best. This tops them all. I highly recommend this eraser to students, teachers,parents, artists, etc etc etc. :)
