Not only do you get galvanic isolation, but also a good selection of connectors. A handy tool to keep in the problem-solving box. If someone shows up with a surprise CD player or sampler, you'll be able to get it connected. It claims to be a "noise filter" but isn't. It is a pair of PXSW PX-MB-CPC isolation transformers. The construction is solid. The enclosure is all metal, and the jacks are PCB mounted, though they are also attached to the faceplates.
