The Mustad Demon Perfect Inline Circle Hook is a true circle hook featuring a wide gap, offering the best hookup ratios. The distinct curved shape of the circle hook will, when the fish takes the baited hook and swallows it, ensure that the hook travels to the corner of the mouth or lip, resulting in fewer deep-hooked fish.
The circle hook can be used for a whole range of applications from drifting with live bait for Tarpon or trolling for Sailfish with bridle rigged live bait. When live baiting, always choose a hook size that matches the bait. Setting the hook is more of a firm tightening of the line, than an actual strike. I’m using nothing but inline circle hooks now to lessen the chance of gut hooking a big catfish. Gamakatsu have always been my go to.When we went surf fishing in saltwater a used these Mustad Demon and hooked every fish in the corner of the mouth. They’re the only ones I found that are a true circle. Caught several sharks on the same hook and it stayed sharp and never got a scratch or weak spot on it. When you see that on a circle hook it will break at that spot so inspect the hook every time no matter what brand and if you scare it with pliers removing it change hooks. That said I haven’t had the opportunity to see how the Mustad does with a 30+ lb catfish yet. As I’m waiting on a new upgraded trolling motor. Never fails something breaks during the peak of the bite.

An enthusiastic and successful user of Mustad straight eye circle hooks for Pike dead and livebait fishing, here in the UK, I'm looking forward to trying these up eye versions. Snelled with my favourite French purchased Cannelle Supratress 49-strand stainless wire/Kevlar braid leader material these are sure to add further refinement to my dead/live bait rigging.

Arrived on time. No issues. The hooks themselves are junk........one use..........every 40+ lb striper I pulled in bent the hook. I will say at least they bent and didn't break like the Owner and Gamagatsu hooks.

they are cut slightly smaller than most circle hooks but once hooked they hold well. they have very little flex in a 5/0. I pulled in a 6.5ft nurse shark perfect hook set. fought it for 10-15 minutes before pulling it to shore and it never broke or gave out even with intense head shakes, it did open up a bit thought. which is expected when pulling that much weight. These are a good alternative to owner hooks which i generally use.
