Screws are the critical element of this product. They are crap; soft and strip easily.

The clips fit trex well and perform as they should. Throw the screws out and use something else. The provided screws stripped out no matter how I drove them in. I used the appropriate bit and direct vertical pressure and the screws would strip halfway into pressure-treated lumber.

We got these starter clips for our Trex deck. They worked perfectly. Some other brands aren't the right shape and don't grip the groove of the board correctly, but we didn't have any issues with these. These can get quite expensive so this is a pretty good deal for the quantity. The screws are pretty average. Overall pretty happy with these starter clips and wood recommend them to anyone else building with Trex.

I got the set of 48 pieces offered by Muzata to secure the starting boards on an upcoming TREX decking project. The clips fit securely on the groove and the recessed screw dimple will keep the board flush. Stainless steel construction and heavy enough gauge to ensure a lifetime of use. Very nice product.
