We are building a trellis on our deck. Each corner is supported by an 8-foot 4x4 wood post. These Muzata post plates secure to the bottom of the wood post with five screws/lag bolts. The post is then positioned and screwed to the deck. I added plastic moldings on top of the plate for a finished look. The plates appear to be black-painted steel with rounded corners. They are thick, sturdy, and well-made. I am very happy with these post plates.

These are just what I needed to anchor my posts to my deck for my railing. They're easy to use, durable and work great!

Picked these up to support new railing posts for our front porch. Once you get these things secured, they aren't going anywhere. They don't look too bad just by themselves, too, so if you don't care too much about covering the base of your posts then this ought to do just fine. Otherwise you'll need to get a cover for them.

These post plates are low profile and look nice. They're easily installed and worked perfectly for mounting my deck posts to the deck and are very sturdy.

Got these to mount railing posts on a dock I built. Needed something easy and sturdy. These were perfect and no need to notch anything and use bolts when it’s not really needed. Plus you can put the post exactly where you want them. I’ll probably need more of them for other projects.

The Muzata Wood Post Plate Connector Base is a quick and easy way to attach wood posts to the deck surface for a railing. Very sturdy and quick and easy to do. I built a deck and am finally working on the railing. Doing a cedar wood post with cables for the railing. Wanted to do a surface mount rather than a side mount because I think it looks better. These were exactly what I was looking for to get this done. The screws (and bit) that are included are super sturdy and hold very well in the posts. Had to buy 4 sets. Not too pricey for the benefit they provide.

I contacted seller and they could not verify if this could be in contact with treated wood. Although, coated, does not mean it can withstand chemicals in treated lumber. Overall product seems solid. With my application, I used butyl joist tape at end grain of post and using GRK 1/4"×2 1/2" to mount plate to post and 1/4" x 3 1/8 into deck. Both are rated structural screws and for treated wood. Screws that come with this are good, maybe for untreated wood. May use those on a different project. Being they're only 2 3/4" long, I didn't think it was enough for me being my deck boards were 1" thick alone. So i thought slightly longer screws and ones rated for treated wood was best option for me. Post mounts are sitting on composite decking so no worries of possible corrosion bottom up. Top down is in contact with treated wood, hence butyl tape.I will say post sleeve along with sleeve bottom trim covers mount entirely. Not mad about outcome, look and being a top mount post base is doable. FYI there's no way to center mount to post exactly. Word of advice when you install, when mount is installed onto post, measure from post itself to edge of deck and not from mount to get consistent spacing.
