Anyone can do it; you simply back out the two screws on the forward side of the shift lever, remove the top assembly, pop off the face plate that conceals the button housing and replace the knob button and spring. It is recommended to use a tiny bit of white lithium grease or similar when installing the new button to ensure smooth long lasting function.

The knob was easy to install and the shifter worked smoothly once the key was inserted in the ignition. However, I could not remove the key from the ignition in the Park position so the product is ultimately unusable on my 2000 Honda Accord EX V6.

NEED TO CORRECT THE REVIEW. AFTER A LOT OF FRUSTRATION AND RESEARCH WE DISCOVERED-They do fit these vehicles if someone has not replaced them with 2000 year model shifter handles , as is in our case.The civic shifter handle fits perfectly but the accord buttons won’t fit a civic shift handle.

Best price to get I just needed to file a little bit on the top and inside and it worked like a charm these are remanufactured pieces that go into specifications but mine is and old model so it's pieces are slightly off so scaping a little plastic saves some money.
