This type of candle wick is one of several recommended by candle researchers. I'm just a hobbyist, but these are what the professionals use, so I'm giving it a try.

I've tried sooooo many wicks for my co. , this works wonders because its "vegetable wax" primed, not with soy. Other primed wicks clouded the gel.

Disclaimer: I don’t know anything about candle making and my review shouldn’t be taken as knowledgeable.This is more for novice candle makers. I chose these because an online community told me these would the best for my wax as they had small flames and large scent throw. In my experience these had really large flames and did not throw scent well. They hold a very large flame while using very little fuel. Despite the giant flame it took a long time to burn through very little wax, hence not much scent throw. I suspect I got bad information, and these would be better suited for candles used as a light source as they burn bright and use little wax.

I am new at candle making and Jess Mae spent a considerable amount of time answering all of my questions via the Amazon link. She even has a Facebook page she invited me to join for further help-Jess Mae Candle Supply.I received my first batch of wicks and I was completely impressed with the packaging, the look, the feel and the overall value. I will definitely buy from her again. I recommend supporting American Made Businesses. You won't get this level of quality and product support from wicks made in China. In fact, they just very well might burn your house down.Lastly, I almost never write reviews. I was not paid to write this review nor given any compensation and I am a real person and not a robot.
