Your cart is empty.Stainless Steel 5" HBT Shank with Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle (MB 03) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. About the mouthpiece: the 03 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. When the reins are engaged, the 03 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll. The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the horse’s mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue. The curve makes more room for the horse’s tongue under the bit. The barrel in the center is the same width as the center piece on a traditional three-piece mouthpiece so applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue. However, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly than the traditional centerpiece and also creates the Independent Side Movement . The 03 is identical to the 02 except for a copper roller on the center barrel which can comfort horses that are restless or nervous. For more tongue relief, step up to the 04. Excellent bit for a young horse moving out of a snaffle or a horse that doesn’t need a lot. One of my favorite Trail bits!

No pinching, roller to play with when he’s nervous and not hard in his mouth. Really responds well with little to no pressure. I was really surprised to see how responsive he was without any correction! I will buy another to use with my other headstall. We both love it!

I have a new Tennessee Walking horse and after reading the reviews decided on this as a huge fan of Myler bits. Once again, amazing product.

I bought this for my new Rocky Mountain gelding and he seems to go well in it. Apparently these are the go to bit for gaited horse riders. They’re expensive but you’ll likely only have to buy it once as its very sturdy and well made!

This was a replacement bit for a new horse. The old owners wouldnt part with theirs because of the cost. It was worth every penny.

I have this for another horse I have and he has been in the same bit for 13 years. So I bought it for a new horse and he is doing fine with it.

I know that bits tend to be a personal choice but after trying several styles of bits including Mikmar, I found my TN walkers seem to find these the most comfortable. They do not play with the bit and respond to a light touch. I an exclusively a trail rider.

this is a fantastic bit. I love Myler bits , 3-piece bits are great bits. The comfort roller is Great for all level of horses and this one with the copper roller is a must !
