So far I am liking this item. I have tested it reasonably well. I have the speed bees loading dock and the loader p8cks everything up well . Locking all in a simple twist. And then releases again with a twist with out much effort . I found the speed bees to be a little bulky. And this is not. The machining of the part is good . And has good tolerances. . I am happy I bought this. The speed l9qding options or limited for 8 capacity revolvers. And with a loading dock this is very easy to do. I wish the speed bees was twist locking like this

Works great, as God Almighty intended. These are probably less in demand than the 5-shot J2 loaders for the Smith Airweights (the 642 series). God bless Saint Benitez.

Great product. Warranted a five star ratings if not for the way to lock and release knob would be more ergonomical if it was reversed. ie. release turning counter clockwise. Otherwise excellent product.

These are very lightweight speed loaders and I would trust them over plastics/polymers. However they are extremely noise and lose. The rounds are secured but they move around and jingle in the speed loader excessively. If they would make these things with a tighter tolerance so they don’t make noise I would only buy these and nothing else.

I generally don't write reviews but felt the need to compliment this product. I have tried every speed loader on the market and have found this one to be the very best in quality and functionality. Some reviews talk about the rounds being wobbly or lose in the loader but this actually gives just enough play for the loader to drop into the cylinder before you release the rounds. The counter clock wise knob is much better for opposite hand reloads and the all metal design is tough enough for dropping the loader with out getting damaged by the fall. I have all ready bought 2 more. Thanks for a great product.

Way better than the Ruger factory moon clips. I have a terrible time getting spent casings out of the moon clips, and if you bend those things even slightly they are worthless. These loaders seem built to last with all-metal construction. Easy to load cartridge, easy to drop them out straight into the cylinder of my Ruger Redhawk 357.

Use for Smith and Wesson model 627 V-Comp, and they work like a charm. Surprisingly light yet well built. Cartridges have a good amount of play in them which helps loading when you got large grips that block straight access to the cylinder.

For many years, no one made a reasonably priced speed loader for a .357/.38 special 8 shooter revolver such as the S&W 627. So when these Five Star Firearms 8 shot speed loaders became available I snapped up several of them. These are beautifully made speed loaders that are designed for, and work perfectly with, the S&W 627 revolver. While not cheap, they are worth the money. These speed loaders are made entirely of high-quality aluminum and thus are both light and strong. And they look terrific. They function perfectly when used with the S&W 627. Until these came along the only practical way to speed load a 627 was with moon clips. Moon clips have their uses, but at the range when firing a considerable amount of ammunition speed loaders are much more practical than moon clips, especially for .357 as there are no polymer moon clips (which are quicker to re-load, especially by hand) available in that caliber. These are a find, and I have bought and enjoyed several of them for use with my S&W 627. Highly recommended. RJB.
