The NANPU Air Sand Blaster Gun has been an excellent addition to my toolkit! I've been wanting a sandblasting cabinet for a while, but this gun is a fantastic starter option that doesn't take up much space. Its compact and versatile design makes it perfect for those who are just starting out with sandblasting or want a convenient and portable alternative. The ceramic nozzle and metal body are sturdy and well-built, ensuring durability and consistent performance. It works beautifully for removing paint and rust from metal, wood, and glass, and is also great for etching projects. The ability to use various materials like aluminum oxide, sand, walnut shells, and soda for blasting adds to its versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.I love how easy it is to use with my air compressor, and the siphon and gravity feed options provide flexibility depending on the task. For anyone looking for an affordable and space-saving way to tackle sandblasting projects, this is an excellent choice.

I was really impressed with how well this sand blaster gun handled everything I threw at it. I’ve used it for stripping old paint and rust off metal frames, cleaning up wooden garden tools, and even trying some etching on glass—worked beautifully across the board. What I really like is the dual feed system—you can switch between siphon and gravity feed depending on your task. The siphon option works great for big cleanup jobs, while the gravity feed is awesome for more delicate or detailed work. It’s nice having that flexibility in one tool.It feels solid in hand. The build quality is excellent, and the ceramic nozzle holds up really well under pressure. I’ve used it quite a bit already, and it shows no signs of wear or slowing down.Big plus: it handles multiple types of media—I’ve tried aluminum oxide and walnut shells so far, and I like being able to customize depending on the surface I’m working on.Setup was pretty straightforward, and it came with everything I needed: hoses, goggles, gloves, extra nozzles. The air pressure range (90–150 PSI) was just right for my home compressor.Overall, this has become one of my favorite shop tools—reliable, efficient, and super versatile.

Good budget sandblaster for smaller jobs. The feeding tube is great compared to cumbersome top-feed hoppers. Mostly plastic, so heavy-duty use probably isn't possible, but it's advertised and suitable for lighter tasks. This tool is in a category I think of as being defined by:1) Wide availability to retail consumers (ie no license or proof of knowledge required to purchase or operate)2) Performing a function most people go entire lives without seeing in action, and3) Is capable of either breaking things or creating giant, potentially costly, and usually huge time-consuming messes (ie have a high potential for disaster in inexperienced hands), all in a brief enough window of time that you can't stop until it's too late. There are a surprising number of things that meet this criteria, mostly tools that most people never think of buying or using, usually tools that are complex enough to use that they don't provide instructions on how to use (my first HLVP didn't come with instructions, just a diagram labelling parts, which I learned the hard way is a great sign that you're generally expected to know what you're doing, and shouldn't proceed if you don't). Sand blasting can be dangerous, and always makes a mess if not properly contained. What I'm saying is...Definitely watch some tutorial videos before starting if you’re new to sandblasting;)

I have a sand blasting cabinet but it has a limited amount of internal capacity. When I need to clean is a small area on a larger items that don't fit, having a small kit like this one will come in handy. For example, I have a trailer that I need to weld a couple of spots on. It sits outside and has a little bit of corrosion plus many of layers of paint. I could go at cleaning up those areas with any number of different techniques, but sandblasting is one of the better methods to quickly clean up surfaces that have contours or corners and get them prepared for welding, painting, etc. This kit is obviously a budget type of item and not particularly high quality. I do like that it has a gravity and siphon feed options. The hopper on board is relatively small, but functional for small projects. The body is die cast and most of the parts have a very mediocre fit and finish. The kit includes a couple of extra tips and O-rings - all consumable parts that will be needed eventually. In operation, the gravity feed tends to (annoyingly) spit out a burst of media when you first pull the trigger. I quickly learned to start the airflow and then turn on the hopper so as to waste as little as possible. The siphon feed actually works pretty well without giving you that initial spurt, though you need to make sure the metal tube stays submerged into the media. I may figure out some sort of a funnel system if I find myself using this more often than I expect. Is very important that you keep in mind that this is rated for 7 CFM of (dry) air flow at up to 150 PSI. You will need a fairly stout air compressor to do anything more than a few short blasts. I am fortunate to own an 80 gallon compressor with a 5hp motor, but even that is stretched to the limit. If you have a smaller machine you will probably be disappointed with the performance of *any* sand blaster. They are great tools when setup correctly, but are also air hogs. The supplied air should be clean, dry, and oil-free for the best performance. (That's actually a higher bar than most people realize.)This unit claims to be able to use Aluminum/Sand/Walnut Shells/Soda Blasting media. I don't see any reason it would not be able to use any of those. Each has a different use case, but always be very, very careful with selecting the proper PPE. I strongly recommend using a respirator, face shield, safety glasses, and gloves- at a minimum. Some of the media, when airborne, can be very nasty if it makes it into your lungs or eyes or...whatever. There is a lot of information to be found online about how to sandblast safely and you need to follow those recommendations carefully.Because this is a very common, generic item, I suggest checking other listings on Amazon to find the best value available. At present, this one is very overpriced even compared to the exact same item from the same vendor. You aren't getting higher quality, so don't spend more than you need to.I would certainly never expect to find this in a professional setting. However, for occasional use in small areas, I think it will work okay.
