Easy off of the old seal using a flat screwdriver and hammer. I applied rtv black on the back of seal for extra leak protection against transfer case housing. Added transmission oil to yoke shaft and attached u joint. No leaks, old one was 20 years old. New seal is good quality replacement and was on sale with ridiculous percentage off.

Read a few reviews that raved about how great it worked on their transfer case, NP-241, which is what I have. Compared it to my old seal which was removed and very well intact (minus a few obvious breaks in the rubber seal, hence why replacing) and it is absolutely too small to seat into the tail of my Transfer case.

This is for a truck with a slip yoke. Broncos have fixed yokes. It will not fit.

This product worked and was a direct replacement oil seal. No more oil leak.
