The highway bars are shorter and do not come up high enough to cover the tank but do protect the engine. I have purchased the Paladin bars before and they were higher up and provided the needed coverage for the engine and tank and matched the picture on the ad. Why would this change? The ad is misleading as the picture does not match the configuration of the bars provided for the VTX. The bolts that were sent with the bars also do not work as a couple of them are too short. I had to use the existing bolts on my VTX 1800C. Disappointing to say the least!! Will not purchase from National Cycle again! I was leaving for a trip so I installed the bars anyway. I may change them out later.

Removed/Replaced some old Gen one Kuryakyn ERGO bars from X because I always banged them on turns.These paladin bars are about the tightest fitting available bars for the C/F. Pegs will scrape long before you slam the guards onto the ground.Install was finicky, but not difficult. I included some pics to show how the top brackets should end up.Clears the radiator by about a 1/4 inch. I wear a size 13, brake lever and shifter are still confortable to use, albeit I dont wear bulky shoes.

Bought these and really did not get a discount by ordering it through Amazon. But guaranteed delivery was the selling point. They are sturdy, well-built crash bars, but did not come with any instructions whatsoever. Had to take a lot more parts off before putting them on. The installation of the u-bars were just terrible. At the end I had to use a hacksaw and removed about an eighth of an inch off of one of the bolts because it was rubbing up against my engine. Again, instructions would have been much better.

These were fairly easy to install. I installed mine on my 2008 VTX 1800f. There are two main complaints, and they are fairly minor. First, these are chrome bars, but the longer cap screws they give you for the brake and shifter are alloy cap bolts. Luckily I had some chrome bolts long enough to put in. Second, if I want to work on my exhaust, I will need to remove the right-hand bar. Again, minor points. All in all, good bars and they were the only bars I could find that let me keep my radiator scoop.

Very nice quality and they look great and shipping speed and packaging was nice i added a few extra photos to show how they mount to the frame because i couldn't find any pictures showing that when i was looking to buy them.definately recommend buying these.

They look great on my 2002 VTX 1800C.*The instructions are a bit wrong on one item. On the right side, the instructions say that you will reuse the UPPER bolt, but this is incorrect. You will only reuse the LOWER bolt instead.I’d like to see the price below $200, but it’s motorcycle metal, so that always increases the price.
